Dr. Laurence David Kaye, MD

Dr Kaye did not take the time to discuss options and oversold results. I paid $3000 out of pocket for Toric Lenses and a stent to relieve rising pressures due to Glaucoma. When the first eye was done, initially I could see distance but after a few weeks it became worse and now 6 mos. later I have been diagnosed (by another doctor) to have astigmatism in that eye. The left eye was corrected for near sight with the same toric lenses replacing a cataract. Initially my vision improved but the right eye became so bad with halos and glare that it fought with my left eye. Dr Snyder, (because Dr Kaye was too busy traveling) performed Lasix to remove a protein build up in my right eye. This procedure failed as I still have protein bits behind my right lens. Neither doctor offered me any help and wouldn’t even recommend an eye doctor who could give me an Rx for glasses! I have gone back to wearing glasses from another doctor but my eyesight is permanently damaged by Dr Kaye at Tucson… Eyecare.

For various reasons I waited a long time to have this surgery done. The cataracts in my left eye were really bad; my vision was completely cloudy. Dr. Kaye did a fantastic job with a challenging situation. It took a few weeks to do the first appointments and finally have the surgery, but it was well worth it. I am very happy with the results.

As a result of my Cataract Surgery I now have 20/20 vision. This is like a miracle to me because i have worn glasses all my life and was "legally blind" prior to getting the Toric Lenses implanted by Dr. Kaye.
