Dr. Laurie Denise Larsen, MD

In addition to being an extremely skilled and knowledgeable urologist, she is professional, amiable, and a careful listener. Her office is run efficiently, and the staff are courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Larsen.

I would not recommend Dr. Larson to anyone. After an initial visit--when she did not explain the testing I would experience--except to say she would be testing and using a camera for the final test, I posed one additional question. It obviously annoyed her and she glared at me while answering. It may be everyday to her, but it was not to me, and I object to someone obviously 'talking down' to me when I am only requesting information re: the procedures planned for me. The office power (whole bldg.) terminated the 3rd procedure (cameras inserted into bladder). During blackout Dr. Larson was standing in hallway and when I asked to speak with her, technician told me she had worked there for 8 years and refused to allow me to speak with doctor...my belief that this was because of either a 'know-it-all' employee, or a Dr. who couldn't be bothered by a patient. I was also curious why cameras and additional items--obviously, for the test--had been left on a paper on a tray along side me. I… wondered how long they had been there, since Urology is not the best of practices for sterile conditions. Since I had been on the table for 20 minutes before the power failure, I wondered how long it would have been before Dr. arrived. I cancelled all further contact with this office and will go to another Dr.
