Dr. Laurie Welton

Dr. Welton was consulted when I was admitted to the hospital for a surgical site infection. She prescribed the initial antibiotic treatment and worked to determine the actual pathogen. Once identified, the treatment was tailored to meet that. She, or one of her ARNPs checked in on me every day which is extraordinary since this was over the Christmas/ New Years holidays. She and her staff were very caring and thorough.

The only reason Dr. Weldon has the one star is simply because I had to put something there for the review to be accepted. I am certainly not the only one that feels this way in the Vero Beach Community.

I recently traveled out of the country and came home sick. I contacted several other doctors for help and even went to an Urgent Care center. None of them seemed to know what to do. Dr. Welton was very helpful and "on her game". She knew exactly the right questions to ask, labs to order and treatment recommendations. I appreciate her expertise as a physician and a caring human being.

After consulting with Dr. Welton and being treated to the ACTUAL problem I had for several years, I am in better health than 20 years ago. I had seen 3 other doctors who never figured out the true problem. Using the correct drug therapy is what has actually saved my life, I was in despair and now am using my health and energy to help others whenever I can. Thank God for this doctor and I really LIKE her personally too- She's a KEEPER

While under Dr. Welton's care for a urinary tract infection I had to have infusions daily for 7 days. The staff was so caring and attentive throughout my treatment. I even seen Dr. Welton wipe down chairs when her nurses were busy. Great people there.

Dr Welton was caring and compassionate. I felt safe in her hands.

Dr. Welton is an exceptionally caring doctor. Her staff the best ever. They and she are caring. patient, thorough and treat me wonderfully.

I was under her care for approx. 3 months. After taking over 20 tubes of blood with no diagnosis. I found enlarged lymph nodes in my axillary and she did not even wash or sanitize her hands before and after touching me. She told me she was going to order CT scans of my brain, chest, abdomen and pelvis. After getting the appt. for Ct scan, she had never ordered a blood test required for the test which delayed the test another couple weeks. Finally went there for Ct scan and was told that now she only ordered Ct scan of abdomen and pelvis. I had enlarged lymph nodes which would have been on a chest CT not abdomen. I finally walked out without having the test. I am still not diagnosed and looking for a competent Infectious disease doctor. Her bedside manner is non existent. She is a know it all and will not let you finish a sentence before she rudely interrupts you. I am from up North where the doctors are competent and professional. Every time I was there for an appt. she drew more blood… work. I am sure it was to get my $60 copay each time. Otherwise she would have ordered all the tests the first time. Would never recommend her to anyone I cared about. I would drive across the state if she was the only IF doc on the east coast.

She never followed up with my bloodwork results, talked poorly about me to another patient, was un-sympathetic about my pain, awful bedside manner, rude and abrasive. I would go as far to say mean.

I was in a recent emergency situation with an infection. My family doctor had me choose between Dr. Welton's office for IV treatment or hospitalization. Dr. Welton's office got me in within minutes of my family physicians visit. The PA, Mark and all of the staff were extremely empathetic and willing to do anything to make me comfortable and help me in my time of need. I am so grateful for their quick and caring response.
