Dr. Lawrence Neal Gray, MD

If you are looking to get a tummy tuck, do not go to this practice. In November of 2022, Dr. Gray was supposed to perform a tummy tuck with a muscle repair on me. The tummy tuck he did perform made my stomach look even worse than what I started with. He did not pull the skin tight enough which left me with a shelf of loose skin above the horizontal incision he just didn't pull the skin tight enough as he should have. He also ruined my bellybutton, usually the incision is hidden inside the belly button so it's not as noticeable, he just went right around it on the outside with a diamond shaped cut and left very visible scar. He also did not perform the muscle repair like he said he would. He had the audacity to tell me at my 3 month appointment that what I was pointing out to him was a "bone" and not a separation in my muscles, acting like I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about. He said that he did was he was supposed to do and then said he no longer needed to see… me after that appointment. I'd also like to note that they never checked in on my after my surgery to see how I was doing and I was never given a phone # to call/text him if I had any issues. I was lucky enough to find another surgeon to fix his mistakes in April, 2023 and apparently, had a very bad hernia, which was not mentioned at all during Dr. Gray's appointments. Based on what he did to me, I think Dr. Gray is past his prime when it comes to performing extensive surgeries. If I could give this doctor 0 stars, I would. Save your money and find another surgeon. I'm out $11,500 from his botch job and then I had to pay another surgeon to fix his screw up...

I woke up from my 2nd BA at this practice (to enlarge size) with a PA sitting next to me saying "that went well, I think you'll like this size, you picked a good size." and motioned me to stand. I was brought outside to my husband. That's it. the next morning I go to change bandages and discover two sanitary napkins had been placed over my stiches. I was beyond degraded. But I shake it off telling myself I'm being too sensitive. At the 1st follow up visit I again, received no instructions. I had questions but was so rushed by both the Dr. and staff I figured I'd just never go back. Why invest 3+ hours out of my day for nothing?! At that point I'm not pleased with where the implants sit or how solid they feel but I figure they'll soften and settle nicely over a little more time. four months post-op things still don't look right. My implants are hard and wide enough to feel like they are falling into my armpits, the shape of one breast is similar to a loaf of bread, everything is… tight and my nipples are low and pointing at the floor. I decide to return. Something went wrong and I simply want to correct it. I'm not angry or upset, but clearly I need some help. So I call and make the appointment. There is no manual exam by the Dr. only a quick visual. My instructions from him are to look into the full length mirror in the room, place my hand above my nipple and pull the skin upward. So I comply and I do that while he sits and watches. My first reaction is positive, it looked like a nice normal generous breast with the skin pulled up like that and I said so. Dr. Gray then stood up, said you need a breast lift, Nancy will come in with a quote and left the room - for good of course. At first I was excited. Okay just a lift, that's fine, I'll do that. then common sense kicked in. This has all been so shady and rude. Okay so I'm not a super model and I'm 56 years old. Maybe I don't deserve great treatment because of those things when it comes to cosmetic surgery. But wait, they never even took After pictures of either procedure. That's weird. Faces are left out of those shots and my body is as good as anyone else's, actually even better than some in his albums. So the after pics didn't happen because......I then decide to get another opinion before cutting again. two months later the 2nd opinion reveals Baker Stage 4 (and the confirmation that a breast lift would be make things look nicer). And now I AM upset and angry. I fully understand the risks of developing this condition and that it's not covered under "warranty". I am sure that can lead to some confrontations on the surgeon's part. But to neglect to inform a patient who has developed this (for whatever reason) is unacceptable and a deal-breaker for me in terms of any further procedures. I simply don't understand this surgeon's decision-making process when faced with a complication or why he doesn't mind handing out the disclaimer pre-op but if a situation arises post-op it is not up for discussion. Complete denial. I find that very scary and inappropriate behavior for someone who performs surgery of any kind. The one star is for the Dr.'s unacceptable post-op care and the PA's lack of instructions post-op and allowing period pads to be stuck on my incisions like I'm not worth some proper gauze and medical tape. the Anesthesia team gets five stars for keeping me safe. I am grateful for that part. In closing I wish I would have received an honest and thorough post-op assessment along with a proposal to thoroughly correct the issues rather than a partial solution and neglecting to examine me so that the capsular contracture could have been identified sooner. This practice has lost my trust.

I strongly DO NOT recommend Dr.Gray. My outcome from surgery was not acceptable. My revision was painful and not appropriate for local anesthetic. He came in on the surgical morning rude and very unprofessional. He did not have the skill to do my routine procedure, and was dismissing and minimizing of concerns. He left me disfigured, and certainly not wanting to return. He should not be practicing for so many reasons, including shaking hands during final suturing.

If you want a doctor that knows what hes doing, DONT go to Dr. Gray. Terrible bedside manner and terrible surgeon, if I could give no star I would

he should not be allowed tp practice plastic surgery, worst doctor ever. I even reported him to the board of medicine. for your own peace of mind do not use him..

Dr Gray had done my first breast augmentation 14 years ago...and had chosen saline implants. I had been extremely happy with the results but wanted to replace them with silicone. I recently had them replaced and I’m extremely happy with the results! Dr Gray is a true artist! He and all of his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly and they make sure that you are happy and have the best results! I highly recommend Dr Gray to anyone!

Great experience

I came to Dr. Gray for remove /replace and he did an excellent job of explaining to me about why I had so much pain. I had my implants for over 20 yrs, and I developed capsular contracture.

I'm so happy with the result.. All the staffs are wonderful.

The chest reduction was the perfect speedy solution for me. Everyone in the office is so kind and helpful and understanding. I was really nervous about undergoing the surgery, especially because I am relatively young and was worried about the risks for my chest. I am so happy I did it!
