Lawrence Hou, DO

As a hospitalist, Dr. Hou is devoted to caring for patients who are admitted to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital and other Samaritan hospitals and urgent care clinics. He works with the patient’s regular clinician and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care. Upon completing his residency with Samaritan, Dr. Hou stayed on as he enjoys teaching and working with medical students and residents. Prior to medical school, he was a leader in cancer immunotherapy research and worked briefly in the biotech industry making viral controls. Dr. Hou comes from a family with a strong background in science. He became a doctor to help people, and he strives to do this with empathy and integrity. In his free time, Dr. Hou enjoys cooking, dining out, hiking, weightlifting, listening to podcasts and playing fantasy football.
