Dr. Lawrence A Mark, MD, PhD

Lets start with the fact that I own my own business I am married have a beautiful spotless home and raised 4 children. This man thought it would be really funny one day when I was in there to say my skin lesions were caused by bed bugs. He said and I quote Breakfast lunch and dinner. My home is in Greenwood. We have never and will never have bed bugs and he knew it. He failed to mention that in his report. It was just one way to humiliate me in private. I should have filed a grievance at that time but I was so traumatized from that visit. He did a few other things like joke to another Doc about me while I was in hearing range. I am now being treated for an immune disease now by a very professional team in another group. There was so many other things I went through with this doctor back in 09 I am writing now is that I just requested records and read his notes. This doctor caused a snow ball crap effect with other doctors with IU because of his un professionalism.

Dr. Lawrence saw me in 2010 for severe skin issues. I won my own business and a nice home. I was also experiencing Nerve issue and Muscle issues. He made a joke of everything and last visit said it was bed bugs. I never had issues with such a thing nor do we have bed Bugs. The correct diagnosis was given after I left his office by another physician. I have mixed connective tissue disease which causes an ala carte of skin lesions. I was getting nerve shocks and losing use of limbs due to painful lockups .... that was due to peripheral neuropathy due to the disease. The disease has also now affected my arms and the veins in my legs. I am being treated with plaquinel and quinacrine along with Steriods. Looks like reviews in other areas have been altered. I too should have file a compliant with the medical board.

What a piece of work. Mis diagnosis and horrible treatment ....I should have filed complaint with medical Board at time but I was to ill. Now being treated with ongoing meds disease.

I think very highly of Dr. Mark, he has been my doctor since Jan. 2012. His professionalism is beyond reproach and he has the respect of all of my friends and family that have accompanied me to my numerous appointments.

After spending a few exhausting appts at Dr. Marks office and the way he treated me and acting as if he was in high school I will never go back. Diagnosis was a joke luckily I was treated correctly after leaving his office and seeking a more professional opinion.

I cannot even begin to tell how unprofessional and childish Dr Mark was. Not only did he completely disregard bedside manner. He acted in a most upsetting way. He did call and apologize after one incident but then I got my records and was surprised at a note he made which was out of line and borderline slander. Not to mention upsetting. I was diagnosed by another competent dermatologist and am recovering. I am still trying to decide what to do in light of what occurred with my records and with the visit itself to make sure no other patient endurs this behavior from a doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Marks for almost a yr now. He is my favorite Dr and I have several. He speaks in terms that my husband and I understand. His bedside manor is very professional. When he is explaining treatments and options he is very clear and puts into terms that we understand. The wait in the room is no more than 5-10 minutes and when he does come in he spends just the right amount of time with us. Not too long and not too short. He has always answered every question we have had and has returned my phone calls and followed up every time he said he would. I rate Dr Mark a 10 being the highest rank.
