Dr. Lawrence Newman, MD

I do not normally write reviews for doctors. Reason being that I feel it takes years of care to feel confidence and compassion from a provider. I am writing this review for Dr. Lawrence Newman because he honestly saved not only my physical but emotional well being. I have long history of chronic ie; infections bladder/kidney with horrible retention. I have seen 10 plus doctors over the years including large ELITE Kidney Clinics with no results except keep taking antibiotics. Present day I finally find Dr. Lawrence Newman. I was seen within a timely manner. Dr. Lawrence Newman took extensive notes about my concerns. He asked may questions I have never been asked after all the years of seeing other providers. Just 3 test later and 1 procedure I feel fantastic! This is the longest span of time I have gone without a infection or painful retention. I am so grateful to Dr. Newman for his services.

Dr Newman diagnosed and treated my husband for the wrong type of cancer a few years ago making him so sick and delaying the correct treatment that he needed. Thankfully my husband is alive and well but not because of this doctor. Could not fire him fast enough. It has taken me this long to get over my anger at his negligence in order to write this review. I’m sure he knows who I am without including my name

I filed this complaint with “Yelp” -- I also posted this on Google Review. I had Prostate surgery performed by Dr. Newman. Before I made an appointment I was adamant to the referral person about having the Green Light Surgery since I had that procedure performed 7 years previous and it was the easiest, most productive surgery I've ever had. It actually increased my sex Libido as stated by the prognosis. It was bloodless and Painless. I returned to my normal activities in a relatively short period of time. Dr. Newman assured me the Green Light was the procedure he was going to perform. He had been well "Coached" as to what to tell me. But he lied to me. He performed the TURP procedure instead knowing he would not get my business otherwise. It was bloody, Painful, and I totally lost all Sex Drive. That's a "Quality Of Life" issue that is likely important to everyone on the face of the planet. I don't think he's even certified to perform the Green Light procedure. When I informed the… referral person what he had done the first word out of her mouth was "Malpractice". One wants to believe their surgeon is trustworthy and their "Word" is solid Gold without getting everything notarized in three part Triplicate and properly witnessed. If you choose him, get it in "Writing" exactly what he intends to do. BEFORE you go into surgery. I have the hospital document that cites the TURP procedure was used during this surgery. It says nothing about Green Light Surgery being performed. They are two separate procedures for the same reason & results and performing both would be redundant.

Great doctor skilled surgeon wonderful staff

There is a fine urologist in Las Vegas that I highly recommend. Dr. Newmans professionalism displayed itself clearly on my very first visit , when his office performed an ultrasound , diagnosed and treated my problem w/o further ado. He has a distinguished medical background that serves him well. Do not hesitate to let him care for you, and he will !!!

Urine and bladder test was prompt, but doctor gave no explanation of his medical decision that I discontinue the medication he had prescribed. As on privious visits he explained nothing about my condition or what to expect. Coldly inpersonable and in a hurry to end the visit.

Dr. Newman just guided me through that netherworld Between life and death precipitated by a blocked kidney, kidney failure, and congestion I've heart failure, He id'd the problems, created the plan and executed the solution. Kudos to a fine man and an even better Doctor. He set my life back on track. Bravo!

very rude and did not explain my previous test. hit me twice in my back , would not listen and said I needed more tests.

Dr Newman and his staff have no compassion at all. My husband had to get surgery we went to Spring Mountain and waited in the preop room for at least 2 hours from when my husband was to have the surgery. It was a nightmare Dr Newman could care less. On a follow up visit that I had to beg for to have the catheter taken out the nurse removed it and we ended up at the ER that night. My husband was constipated and could not urinate which I spoke with Dr. Newman and he finally told me to take him to the ER at 10PM and no he did not show up. The ER at Spring Valley were wonderful and we were told he had a infection a he was put on strong antibiotics. When I spoke to Dr. Newman about this he said he did not have a infection. If not why didn't he call us and tell us that he did not have the infection. And if you thing he will be a little sympathetic when he tells you that you have cancer it will not happen. I can go on and on but will not this is my opinion of this doctor.

Prescribed antibiotics for something that didn't need them. Had tests done and would not give me results without scheduling another overpriced appointment. Stay away.
