Used Dr Shank for hand surgery after a horse accident. A very nice physician who has a lot of experience. He will give an honest opinion about your situation. I would see him again with no worries.

Whoever wrote about shank being rude,stuck on himself and awful bedside manner is 100% right! Took daughter in after injury playing high school basketball and this guy was so not worried about her injury. Barely touched her foot. She couldn’t even walk on it. Did X-rays and stress X-rays he said nothing but tendinitis put her in boot and said pt will help. Long story short there office messed up pt referral delayed two weeks, then finally mri, and come to find out she had a broken fibula! Poor kid still in boot going to specialist in phx, hoping they can fix without surgery now! I couldn’t be more disappointed in this dr he really did a number on this! I hope no one else suffers like my daughter has been.

Dr. Shank may know medicine, but he's rude, condescending and arrogant. When my problem wasn't resolved by a visit, I requested another doctor. His bedside manner makes Hannibal Lecter seem warm and fuzzy.

Dr. Shank was able to find a fracture that another physician missed and get me back on my feet. He treated me with respect and explained my options to me very clearly. Great physician and a nice person.
