Lawrence D Shulman, DO

Dr. Schulman was the third sleep specialist I had seen over the course of over a decade, but he was the first to actually listen to me and figure out what was wrong with me (turned out to be narcolepsy). He is a really nice doctor who is also smart and very professional.

Dr has a poor bedside manner. Ended up with a great doctor in the same area. Glad I left.

Inept office staff. A report were ordered by his staff, and it was never sent to his office. There was no follow up by his office staff as to where the report was. The Dr admitted that his staff dropped the ball. My initial meeting with him was brief, approximately 90 seconds, he billed for $400. He was rude condescending. I will never see him again.

Very brief visit of under 15 minutes. Billed my insurance for a 45 minute visit. Never scheduled a follow up appointment.

I have seen Dr. Shulman a number of times, for pneumonia twice, and for chronic cough due to allergy related post nasal drip. I felt VERY fortunate to find this wonderful, kind, and caring physician. Dr. Shulman is a compassionate doctor who truly listens to his patients. He is very easy to talk to, and he truly cares about his patients well being. Each time I saw him I was VERY sick and I felt he was extremely proactive in my recovery. After seeing me, he told me to call him anytime and give him updates so he knew how I was recovering, and twice recommended what was needed to feel better over the phone, WITHOUT me even having to come into the office to see him. He didn't care that I didnt come into the office therefore was not even concerned that he wouldn't even get payment for his time for another office visit - which is a rare find in today's world. Made a wrong malignant diagnosis without doing any tests. Fortunate to find a Doc who performed a Thoracentesis before making his diagnosis. Others might not have been as lucky.
