Lee Ansell earned a B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin before graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center's Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His internship was completed at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, and his neurosurgery residency was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ansell is licensed to practice in Texas and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Ansell was awarded numerous honors during his distinguished military career including a Bronze Star, an Air Force Commendation Medal and two Meritorious Service Medals.

Dr. Ansell did wonders for my dad back when he needed surgery and again for myself when I needed surgery. I highly recommend him and trust him. He is the most professional doctor that I have ever dealt with.

Dr Ansell has operated on my much abused back and fixed it that the pain was gone and my life was so much better. He did what others promised and did not perform. I will always be grateful and thankful for his kindness and care.

I am 41 years old and had a herniated disc causing pain down my right leg. Dr. Ansell removed it and he placed an "Aspen" in its place. Dr. Ansell was very professional during my visit, gave me my options and was very truthful in regards to each one. I am so thankful to him for relieving my pain & having such a quick recovery! The wound healed in couple of days. Had a spot of blood on first bandage after procedure, left hospital next day, they placed new bandage & no bleeding or anything. Wound is clean and healed up! Great job Dr. Ansell.

When I saw Dr. Ansell first time I'd already had three back surgeries dating back to 1972.A neurologist recommended Dr. Ansell to me in 1990 - I was having difficulty walking. Dr. Ansell sent me to a specialist in femoral artery stent implants which gave me instant relief. I knew when I was talking to Dr. Ansell that if and when I needed back consultation I'd return to him. In 2009 I had to return to Houston from vacation because of back pain.Dr. Ansell did a very successful surgical procedure on my back. He continues to follow-up with x-rays. Mostly I'm comfortable with Dr. Ansell. I recommend him to friends who have had similar and excellent results.ALL good so far.
