Dr. Lee Douglas Koon

I have had him as a DR for my first born and he was great! Had him again for my 3rd and now I'll be having him as a DR for my forth. he's very polite and always willing to answer any questions I have. I never have to wait long for him at my check ups. Very kind and friendly. gives me all the information I need and answers all my questions, Very professional.i would definitely recommend him as a Dr. His assistant is great also! Very sweet and polite ,I always feel comfortable at their office ,never had any issues at all. Always great never rude..over a I would have to say I have had a great experience with Dr Lee Koon for many years as my Dr and I would highly recommend him!!!!

Did not take the time to explain complications I had during pregnancy. He has no bedside manner and is extremely rude. He does not answer your questions.

The office staff was courteous but I was on hold for at least 15-30 minutes each time I called. His assistant Michelle was friendly but I have talked to others that were not as nice. :( Dr. Koon was something else. I thought it was just me - until I read the reviews...I am not alone. I know other doctors who may be 'straight to the point', or 'more stoic in nature'. There is a difference and this was not him...he had a horrible bed side manner and for a lack of a better word - he was RUDE. I have had some medical issues - resulting in abnormal heavy bleeding. His response..."well, what do you expect". hmmm....well, I expect an answer to why or maybe a course of action. I met with him for a total of 3 minutes before he went straight to an ablation. No exam, no tests...not even blood work - I had some past tests with me...he did not want to even look at them. Thank goodness my primary suggested a biopsy first...but he is doing it. I am really nervous and do not feel… comfortable with this at all. I am seriously thinking about cancelling and finding a new Gyn.

Dr. Koon is a very caring wonderful expert board-certified doctor if you're going to go to the doctor and not take his advice then I guess you have a problem I have no problem with Dr. Koon he is fabulous! He performed my surgery and did extremely well and I'm very pleased with him and his staff . I heartily recommend him for any surgery you may have to have he's The best surgeon you could have with a great surgical team.

Dr. Koon is extremely rude and not personable at all. Please read reviews before going to him. If you are over weight even slightly over weight DO NOT go to this doctor. I switched doctors at 30 weeks pregnant because I was fed up with him. The first day I saw Dr.koon he brought up my weight, I felt like he was being rude about it but I wasn't sure if it was just me being nervous so I let it slide. I would see him once a month and he would ALWAYS bring up my weight. I'm not huge and my blood work and blood pressure is fine, my baby is healthy but he always brings up my weight. My very last visit (the one I decided enough is enough) he quickly walked in the room and said "we need to talk" So I was worried and say "what is it? Is it my blood work?" All he says is "your weight." I'm like "what about it???" He says "WHAT do you eat all day?" (Keep in mind I'm 30 weeks pregnant and gained 15-17lbs total so far in my pregnancy).. I answered his question and told him breakfast is something… like yogurt, granola and a banana and lunch is catered by my job every day and he quickly says "OH by catering do you mean pizza!?".. My feelings were hurt and I was trying not to cry but I explained no, it's grilled chicken and veggies.. Healthy things like that.. He didn't seem to care and told me AS ALWAYS I just need to watch my weight.. Like I don't know this already. And now he throws in that I'm putting my baby at risk by being over weight. After that he did the 5 minute check up (he never spends more than 4-6 minutes with you) he walked out the door. As I was leaving I wanted to remind him (for the 2nd time) that I was going to be out of town for work for 9 days.. I said "I just want to be sure it's okay when I leave out of town that I'll miss my ultrasound for next week but I'll be back 2 days after it's scheduled and can reschedule it for then".. He arrogantly laughs and says "well I guess if you feel your baby moving you should be fine".. And walks away.. I just turn around, leave the office and get in my car and cry. He always made me feel stupid for asking questions, he made me feel terrible about myself and so uncomfortable after every visit. I truly felt like this doctor could care less about me and my baby. I told my boyfriend what happened and he agreed that I needed to change doctors. I switched doctors and we really like my new doctor, he is caring and I can actually talk to him about anything without being laughed at or judged. I told my new Dr how Koon had such a problem with my weight and my new dr doesn't have a huge issue with it.. Of course he wants me to be healthy but it's not an issue like Koon made it out to be. I truly believe Koon has personal issues with over weight people.. I felt that way from the first day I met him and after my last day with Koon I went to reading reviews on him & I'm shocked to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I just wanted to tell my personal story for everybody. I have never left a review for anything/anybody but I hope this will save women from going to Dr.Koon. PS. My son was born a few months ago and he is very healthy.!! I am SOOO HAPPY I changed my OB. Dr. Koon is the worst dr ever. Seriously.

Dr. Koon is incredibly unprofessional. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor in my life. After waiting an hour after my scheduled appointment time, he finally comes in the room and proceeds to rip me a new as hole and tell me what a complete idiot I am for asking him what happened during my surgery. My "follow up" didn't check on my health at all . I'd bet that I'm not the only patient that's left their appt with him early crying. I doubt he cares remotely about his patients well being and only cares about making money off of them. Do yourself a favor and don't see him.

Excellent Doctor and Staff!

Dr. Koon was my obgyn during my pregnancy. He is very knowledgeable and always spent a good amount of time with me during the office visits. It was nice not being rushed by a doctor. Dr. Koon also delivered my son and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. I will definitely be seeing him again.

I Went to see Dr Lee Koon for the first time with concerns of suddenly painful, irregular periods. He arrogantly walked into the office and said "Have you always weighed this much?" and "I can almost guarantee that your irregular periods are because you weigh so much". He was so offensive and short mannered I almost teared up. He very quickly did the exam and said I needed bloodwork done and left the room. I went immediately across the building for bloodwork and Dr Koon apparently ordered a 2 hour long blood test for me! Shocked, I asked what kind of test this was and the ob/gyn ordered a blood glucose test for me! Apparently, this doctor believes if you're overweight, you must have diabetes, as well. This test had nothing to do with my irregular periods *and* i just had my annual bloodwork done through my regular doctor - he never bothered to ask. I am not diabetic nor pre-diabetic. This doctor not only embarrassed me, but ordered unnecessary 2 hour blood tests unrelated to my visit.… His office never called me with my annual exam results, either. Worst doctor experience I've ever had.

Not a very good doctor , he was rude and didn't care about what I had to say , very pushy and passive aggressive . Said I didn't have pcos when I do and said I needed to basically deal with my pain and would not help me. Argued about everything I said.
