Dr. Lee Thomas Simon, MD

As I sit here looking at my burnt finger from my woodburning pen, I am reminded of my last visit with Dr. Simon for test results done on my neck and arms. The results indicated that I am losing muscle in my arms due to damage to my neck and back. I went to Dr. Simon for the arms because he did surgery on my hand several years back. He rushed in, looked at my test results and angrily asked me why I chose to go out of State for my test. He then threw the results back at me stating that he didn't believe. (Funny, I've had the same results at three different hospitals. Two of them being in Salem.) Then, without warning, he then proceeded to push harshly down on the top of my head and ask if that hurt. It hurt severely! And, that was NOT why I went to see him. I already had an appointment to see a neurosurgeon in Akron for my rupture disk in my neck! He then said the only thing he could do for me was give me a shot to see if it would help and abruptly walked out afterwards. … The shot was administered into my thumb and instantly shot horrible pain straight up my arm and into my neck. I drove myself in and had to then drive my manual transmission home with my left hand and arm totally dead numb. The pain in my arm lasted for 2 and 1/2 days, and I had to go to another doctor to get pain medicine to relieve the pain. I will never return back to the physician for any reason!

Dr Simon was very caring and professional. He did not delay in addressing my surgery which would have been more problematic would we have waiting. He demonstrated great concern over the outcome and my recovery and took the necessary steps in make certain I was safe until healed. He answered all my questions and made certain I understood exactly what the damage was and how it need to be repaired. Definitely my choice if needed in the future.

My son had torn his ACL and we could not have been more pleased with Dr. Simon. He went above and beyond what was expected. A wonderful doctor I have been recommending him to everyone. Our son has healed wonderfully all due to the care and skill of Dr. Simon.

Dr. Simon answered my questions fully, without hesitation or reservation. He explained my condition and alternative treatments and explained why he favored on type of replacement joint over others available. He gave me references to other orthopedic specialists for second opinions. He explained consequences of surgery if performed while I was overweight.

He rushed through my visit. He rushed so fast that he didnt even look at my xrays as he dropped them all over the floor. Once he looked at me he knew he was not going to help me ( a fullfigured [person)he even commented so. He didnt care my condition or the pain I am in. Should have listened to others about him. His ability is to put cast on people and take them off. Nothing more.
