Dr. Leland Evan Gossett, MD

He is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon! All throughout surgery and pos-op he and his family staff have remained very professional. He has explained everything very well and I felt he truly cared about my recovery after surgery. I definitely recommend him and his staff.

I was seen by Leland Gossett for a neuropathy issue with my elbow. He diagnosed me with cubital tunnel syndrome and told me surgery was required and the only 'real' option. He suggested a steroid injection to try to push out the surgery, but warned that I would need to wait 3 months for surgery due to potential complications. He offered the injection same day, but I told him I would think about it due to the possible implications. I called back the next week and scheduled the injection, but because he was booked out a few weeks, I made the appointment with his PA, Megan Zabawa. I took the day off of work and upon arriving to the appointment, Megan refused the shot, stating she didn't believe it would help and that surgery was needed instead. I went to another doctor and was diagnosed with bulging neck disks that put pressure on the nerve root and am being treated for that. It was NOT cubital tunnel. Not only was I misdiagnosed and almost pressured into a surgery I didn't need, but I… was billed for the OAM injection procedure - one I did not receive. After months of back and forth with insurance and the OAM office, OAM never returned my calls and my bill was sent to collections. I ended up paying it because I felt I had no other option, but this has been an absolutely terribly experience and others should be warned.

It was great to meet Dr. Gossett. He was very informative and took the lesser invasive approach to my Carpal Tunnel. I’ll remain to be his patient while we resolve the pain and numbness in my hand

After dealing with the results of multiple gunshot wound to both arms for over 40 years, Dr. Gossett was able to install state of the art metal structures to reduce pain and return function that I hadn’t enjoyed in decades. He candidly told me not to expect miracles or perfect joints after surgery, but I an very pleased with the outcome and both arms get stronger every day. This is much better than the steady decline the bullet fragments and resultant arthritis had left me. I am very thankful for his candor and his surgical skills.

The wait was short and as always Dr. Gossett is kind, caring, and honest along with his staff.
