Dr. Lennox Pjohn Hoyte, MD

On behalf of my mother: My name is Gloria .H., I’m an 80 year old patient of Dr. Hoyte. I was diagnosed with uterovaginal prolapse, in layman’s terms my vagina and bladder dropped, and I was not able to hold my urine (incontinence). Dr. Hoyte is a Board Certified and is fully experienced and skillful in that type of surgery. The procedure that he performed in February 2025 repaired my issues, by lifting my vaginal canal and bladder back into the correct place using a robotic assisted device. Dr. Hoyte conducted his visit with me in a most highly professional manner. He was very personable and created a very relaxed environment during his consultation with me. His questions were simple and straightforward. He carefully listened to my history and my questions, and he encouraged me to ask questions which he answered in a very satisfying manner. His staff were also very highly professional, courteous, and caring. My pre-operative and post-operative care were done in a very highly… professional and caring manner and with simple and straightforward instructions. They made my experience with the procedure very easy and comfortable. The procedures were done without complications. My post-operative follow-ups with Dr. Hoyte were full, reassuring, and complete. Based on my clinical and surgical experiences with Dr Hoyte, I highly recommend Dr. Lennox Hoyte for care to anyone with a condition like mine.

Ocala FL – Nov. 2022 Finding Dr. Hoyte was truly a god-send for my wife. My wife was diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder and told she should have surgery once it became too uncomfortable. In the meantime, worrisome vaginal bleeding started to occur which gave rise to 2 rush weekend trips to different nearby hospital Emergency Rooms. In both cases she was told the bleeding was caused by a urinary tract infection and prescribed with an antibiotic. The second one also ordered a scan which we were told further indicated some kind of shadow on her bladder and recommended we see our GP for additional testing and ultrasound. The GP took a culture which showed there was in fact no urinary tract infection and no further need for antibiotics, but the ultrasound reported finding a lesion (i.e. growth) on the wall of her bladder with recommendation that we see a Urologist. Upon searching the internet we learned a growth on the bladder is typically over 95% cancerous, spreads rapidly, but… can be successfully treated if caught early on. Upon learning the referred to Urologist couldn’t see us for at least 2 months and too worried to put off care that long, we asked my wife’s Gynecologist for a further referral. To his credit, he asked if we would consider traveling as far as Tampa (100 miles away) to see a Dr. Hoyte. Upon checking out Dr. Hoyte’s academic, training and experience credentials (which were truly most impressive); we agreed that the inconvenience of a little travel shouldn’t get in the way of making sure my wife get the very best treatment possible and Dr. Hoyte on paper certainly appeared to rank among the best. So, we had our Gynecologist contact Dr. Hoyte’s office on our behalf and he agreed to see her within 2 days. The rest is now history and what a satisfying history it is. At the first visit after some initial pelvic inspections, Dr. Hoyte voiced the opinion that it was highly unlikely that a viral tract infection or lesion on the bladder would be causing her vaginal bleeding, and that it was more likely her falling uterus pushing the bladder down and out causing friction with her underwear which was the source of that bleeding. He further told us that he could not see any growth on the bladder and, therefore, likely no cancer to worry about. But that further testing would be scheduled to be certain. The very next day he proceeded with a series of tests, scans and internal probes into both her bladder and uterus (cystoscopy and hysteroscopy) along with a new ultrasound, all of which confirmed Dr. Hoyte’s initial diagnosis on the source of the bleeding as well as no growth on the bladder or the uterus and no cancer whatsoever despite the earlier ultrasound report from Ocala which somehow must have been flawed or misread by the technician.. What a sense of relief that brought. Dr. Hoyte completed all of his testing by mid-Aug and had surgery scheduled at Tampa General by mid-Sept. which included a partial hysterectomy, removal of top portion of the uterus, removal of the phelopian tubes, repositioning of the bladder and uterus, and insertion of a mesh to hold them both in their new positioning. That surgery was all done robotically, could not have gone better, left no scarring or pain and returned her to 100% level of comfort again. Dr. Hoyte is best doctor we have ever dealt with, with wonderful bedside manner, patience, understanding and we would recommend him to anyone. Linda & Peter Palmer

The new location in Bartow is spectacular! It's very easy to get to from any direction. The staff is always helpful and greet you happily. I have known for many years what a great pelvic floor surgeon, and person, Dr. Hoyte is so it doesn't surprise me that most of his staff drives the extra distance from the old Tampa location to continue to work with him. I am 56 years old and went to Dr Hoyte for stool leakage. This has caused much embarrassment and suffering for me. He was professional, compassionate and instilled confidence in me that he could fix my issues. He explained that I needed a prolapse repair. I was able to purchase his excellent book on the procedure which I highly recommend to anyone considering the surgery. I am now 6 weeks post surgery and can say I feel like a new woman. The robotic surgery was minimally invasive. I was up walking within hours and never needed pain meds. Dr Hoyte has outstanding credentials. I feel blessed that I was able to have him as my surgeon. Dr Lennox Hoyt is an Excellent Surgeon.He explains what he finds and how to fix it I had a uterus prolapse and was so very uncomfortable. The surgery was done using the DaVinci robotic system and I had very little pain. I am so happy I had it done ,Dr. Hoyte made me feel comfortable and I put my trust in him I am so grateful to Dr. Hoyte for giving me back my quality of life. His staff is so friendly and helpful.

I am so grateful to Dr Hoyte for listening and thoroughly investigating my concern of leg pain following a hysterectomy and prolapse repair with mesh. I had been to several other specialists - orthopedists, neurologists, neurosurgeons-In the area, including the urogynecologist who did my original surgery without any answers or relief of the daily pain for 18 mo. Dr Hoytefound the problem, explained what he could do to remedy it -and then performed a virtually painless robotic surgery to finally correct the problem.
