Dr. Leonard Thome, MD

In 2008 I was rushed to the hospital and Dr. Thome was the ER doctor. He attempted to do an arteriogram and during the procedure he punctured the femoral artery in my left leg. I had to be life flighted to Methodist Hospital, Houston, and I flat lined 4 times during the flight. I almost had to have the left leg amputated and was in the hospital in Houston before I was well enough to leave. I have no pets, but, if I did I would not send my dig or cat to him. Only by the Grace of God and the professional doctors at Methodist Hospital am I alive. I would rate him a minus 1000 stars. I have been very sick for the last 8 years because of Dr. Thomes care.

I Was Sent Home With Nitro-Glycerin Tablets, As Dr. Thome Stated, "I Can't Help Her, Due To A Low Platelet Count!" At The Heart Center In Houston, The Problem Was Diagnosed And Surgically Performed, With The Low-Platelet Count; And, My Health And Strength Has So Improved Every Day!

Dr. Thome came in the hospital the morning of my heart attack and was so pleasant and reassuring. Although it was an emergency and I was rushed upstairs to get my artery open again, he was so calm and had a smile that put me so much at ease with him. He saved my life that day and I owe my life to him. He is the best!

Doctor Thome spent a lot of time with me explaining my problems. Even though he suspected that my symptoms were not coming from my heart, he took the time to explain why this was so and made me feel so much at ease and reassured me that I was not going to die! He does not believe in doing invasive and potentially dangerous tests that are not necessary. He has excellent credentials and I put all my trust in him. I feel so at home with his staff as well. I called him on a weekend about a problem that I had and he responded personally within minutes. I feel that he truly cares about his patients.

Dr Thome is very personable and is very easy to talk to. He seems very interested in me and always has a good answer for whatever question I have. He does not make me feel rushed. He has a great reputation and is an asset to our community. He saved my father's life!

After being on four blood pressure meds for 18 years, Dr. Thometold me to stop all of them immediately. I did but my bp shot up and stayed there along with headaches and chest pain. I eventually had to get back on the meds. After being told by a neurologist that I had scars of seven small strokes on a brain scan I did not feel I should fool around too much with my blood pressure. I told this to Dr.Thome, who said I should get my neurologist to write him a letter explaining my stroke prob. I asked if he could just look at the brain scan cd and was told he did not do that!
