Dr. Leonida Leonida Del Rosario-Torres

I have been a patient of Dr Torres for over 6 years. She delivers both of my kids. When I just started going to her, she had a more organized and friendly staff. Not sure what happened but they were replaced by different people I did not care for. Dr Torres herself is a good doctor although I felt rushed everytime I was in the examination room with her. About a year and half ago I call for an appt for a routine exam and I was told she was on medical leave. Tried a couple other times and same answer. Her office did not even bother sending any communication to inform her patients that she would not be available to see them. Imagine my surprise when I called recently and was told that she was retired. What a shame that I had to find out that way.

I was a patient of this doctor when I was expecting both my children. During the first pregnancy, everything was ok . I saw her through ought and she was always helpful and courteous. Her office is always busy and waiting times are always longer than the actual checkup .. Fast forward two years, for pregnancy #2 . During the first trimester she did an in office test and informed me that my baby might be born with Down syndrome and referred me to a high risk specialist, and I was seeing her at the same time. That was fine but the total lack of professionalism came towards the end of my 2nd trimester when someone from her office called to cancel my 6th month appointment stating that dr Torres was on leave and she wasn't sure when she would be back! I kept calling for a few weeks after that until they finally referred me to a different doctor who was taking all of Dr Torres's patients. I said all that to warn you prospective patients that she might just pull a disappearing act on you… without ample notice and you and your family might be left in limbo like I was. Be Aware because 2years after, never did I receive any correspondence from her office about my and my healthy now 18 month old son well being! But they did send me a bill for $12 for one of their copayment!

The wait time in this office is horrible! Once you get in the examining room you have wait another hour. My mood is always off when I leave this office. This bc of waiting!

The office does need a facelift. But have been seeing her for 7 yrs now. She is a fertility Dr. She inseminated me and delivered the Baby. I was thrilled to find a Dr. who did everything instead of having to go to 3 different ones. I find her knowledgeable and have never had any problems with office staff or her.

I have been seeing Dr Torres for over 9 years. I think she is a god Dr. Pleasant and to the point. She will answer any and all of your questions. Although she does need to be more informative about conditions that you may be experiencing. She gave me samples of a medicine for a disease that she did not officially diagnose. It was a cream and so not that troublesome. I like her. My daughter sees her. She's wise.

Her manners is like I'm bothering her be simply beeing there. Her staff is like her too. I wass dripping. Gave no explanation of my condition. Would not recommend her to anyone.

This woman has no compassion. Her assistants are pushy. And to make matter worse, they will pressure patients to have pap smears at a very young age. Horrible. Do not recommend.

This doctor overcharged me each time of my visit until I complained to my insurance. Billed me when she should have been billing my insurance carrier. Hurt me on one occasion, and also overcharges for copies of records. Go to another doctor and avoid countless calls to resolve one small issue.

Dr. Torres failed to notify me of an abnormal pap-smear for 6 months. She then failed to call me again with the results of my follow-up pap-smear. When I requested that my medical records be transferred to another ob-gyn, she refused to do so until I paid her.
