Dr. Lesley Zlotta Blumberg, MD

A Dr named Lesley Z blumberg is working for Health Net of California as “Médical Director” autographing denial letters. (Assuming this is her) I’ve had on going spinal issues from being a professional athlete for 20 years. She is named as the denial physician on my latest denial for care. I’ve never met the woman and she’s a gynecologist. What does a gyno know about acute spinal issues? What kind of person does this kind of work for greed driven insurance companies? IMO Steer clear. Nothing good can come from someone with such composition.

So Dr. Blumberg made the medical decision who is an OBGYN to deny me to go to a shoulder specialist for a torn rotator cuff in the shoulder. Dr. Blumberg is also somehow trying to say in my appeal to have a shoulder specialist that I am trying to get some sort of implant. Nowhere in any of the appeal was any mention of implant. The reason for the poor rating was of the position of the medical director making medical decision based in an area they are not specialized in. My first question is how is an OBGYN making an orthopedic decision? And still why am I being declined a shoulder specialist and third, why would he assume there is some sort of implant. None of these questions are answered and has just confused the original appeal for a shoulder specialist that is qualified and accepts the insurance but is not in network.
