Summary
Dr. Aiello received a B.S. degree, with distinction, from Otterbein College in 1968 and was graduated with an M.D. from Ohio State University in 1972. He completed his pediatric residency through The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1975 and treated patients at Childrens Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He was Board Certified in Pediatrics in 1976. Dr. Aiello is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Aiello has been practicing with us since 1977. During that time, he has also provided services at the San Marcos Treatment Center and the Texas State School for the Visually Impaired. He was on the Central Texas Medicaid Review Committee and continues as a lead consultant to the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. He is currently serving as the Medical Director for a school based health clinic in Del Valle in conjunction with the University of Texas, School of Nursing. He holds an Associate Professorship at the U.T. …School of Nursing, teaching pediatric nurse practitioners. During his practice in Austin, he has been recognized repeatedly as one of the best pediatricians in Austin, "Super Doctors of Texas", and has been in the publication, "Best Doctors in America" for years. Physician peers award the latter two distinctions. Dr. Aiello is married and has two children and three grandchildren. Dr. Aiello served in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1977 in both Pediatric and Aerospace medicine. He is still a certified and active Aviation Medical Examiner and an active pilot.
