I really like Dr. Schwartz. He has helped me overcome my anxiety and depression and knows a great deal about biological mental illness, and is able to the medications that work for me. Always kind and professional

This man is not up to date on Meds, he loves to prescribe Lithium, Depakote, Risperdone. He does not listen and has selective hearing and memory. We took my spouse in for a diagnosis of Bipolar/PTSD and he had been overdosed on a med (Risperdone) and this so called Doctor did not care. My spouse was having severe swelling, extreeme bone pain, massive depression that all started the second day after starting the medication. I called and begged for help. His only answer was to up the dose but left it up to us and refused to change it. After weeks of pain (6) my spouse decided to quit the medication because he could not stand anymore and was suicidal from pain. Within 2 days of stopping the medication he was fine. No more pain, no more depression, the swelling went down and he went back to normal. We found out that it was a rare reaction to the medication that needed to be reported to the FDA. This sorry excuse of a doctor did nothing! He told us he was ending the visit because he was… behind schedule, we waited 45 minutes. Someone ought to make him retire or pull his license. If you are assigned to him throw a fit until you get a different doctor. Your life may depend on it!

Dr Schwartz is one of the most compassionate physicians I know.

It was obvious to me within the first 10 minutes in speaking with this doctor that he did not think too highly of women.He attitude was pompous and condescending. I will not return to him even a second time. It would stand to reason , would it not, that IF one is experiencing "problems" --- even the slightest bit of insecurity and dread about their lives --- the last thing would need is a doctor whom they have perceived as being uncaring and out of touch with humanity. This guy is fine if you are merely to be medicated. however, if seeking a proper diagnosis, I would reconsider!
