Dr. Leslie Ann Scott, MD

My prenatal care with Dr. Scott was good and the office staff was nice and knowledgeable except for one time were my cervical scrape sample had to be redone because the lead nurse but it in the cabinet instead of sending it to the lab! My sample was found in the cabinet at my next appointment weeks later, GROSS!!! Since the lead nurse did this, I should've switched offices but I did not. I wanted to give Dr. Scott's office another chance, big mistake! My delivery was extremely traumatic. I am grateful that my son was born healthy but it went downhill after he was born. I hemorrhaged after delivery and lost a lot of blood. Dr. Scott literally stuffed me with tissue and gauze like a stuffed animal. Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. By going to a Black female physician, I though that I could avoid any issues but I didn't. I get it, deliveries are… unpredictable but even after this traumatic experience, I did not get a phone call or visit from her to see if I was okay. I had my son, bled everywhere, had my vagina stuffed with foreign material and she dipped. I did not even see or hear from her again until I scheduled a follow up visit months later. I get that healthcare is treated as a commodity and not a right but going that extra mile to show compassion and that you truly care about your patients is valuable. When I have more children in the future, I want to have a better experience with a doctor who shows that they truly care during both pre and post natal. I will not be returning to her office or SSM Health.

This chick doesn't have a clue! Terrible communication skills. Refuses to interact / respond to patient. Ridiculously bad time management skills. Shows little respect. Patronizing. It's her way or no way. Little understanding of patient's ability to participate in treatment planning. My advice? Stay away from this ego driven wannabe.

was my 4th appt to see Dr Scott. I left my wallet at home and was unable to make the copay at time of services. I both live & work within 5 blocks of the doctors office & offered to leave my drivers license and come back to pay during lunch to pay. I was denied. It was against policy. My appointment was for a question to deterimine if i could change my birth control method as I am approaching menopause. A 10 minute appointment at most. Simple - no exam required. After my last appt I was diagnosed with a disease - i had one simple question and Dr Scott refused to take a phone call for my question. When I insisted (I have to take vacation time from work for appointments) she finally called me back but left a message stating that I had to make an appointment to get my question answered. There is no doctor / patient relationship with Dr Scott. Co pay's rule at this office. Not once did she follow up after I was diagnosed with this disease either.

Very poor listener. Also her work experience is very unimpressive, which obviously shows in her poor communications with the patients and her irregular follow-ups. She definitely needs to work on her inter-personal skills when dealing with patients.
