Dr. Leslie Allyson Spencer, MD

While Dr Spencer is extremely kind and is very good at calming a patient down and making them feel comfortable about everything going on she misses 1 extremely valuable asset. She only listens to an extent. Now I chose her based on prior reviews with women suffering from endometriosis and other diseases suffering in pain. It sounded as though she was able to listen to her patients and find current diagnosis when other doctors could not. However, this is not the case for me. I explained in my first meeting that there is a history of endometriosis on my family as well as I was told when I was 15 that I almost positively had it. Up until now I have not been prepared to have the procedure to tell me if I do or not but now I am, as I am suffering unbearable debilitating pain. Dr. Spencer refuses to test me for this because I am young and she doesn’t feel it is important. She did do other procedures to try and find a problem. They found a cyst that eventually took care of itself and many… other growths but yet her response is, all of your tests are normal. Her final conclusion was lets put you on birth control which I was on for over 10 years and it does not help a single bit. After thorough discussion with my family I have come to realize I am being ignored and I now find myself once again in need of finding another gyro that will hopefully listen to me.

Amazing Doctor! Dr. Spencer took the time to hear all my concerns, questions and history before explaining everything in full. She was informative and detailed oriented on the next steps in my care. So thankful I now have her as my Doctor!!

Had lots of problems with information getting to the proper departments (like the blood laboratory and Maternal Fetal Med). They are making improvements and have streamlined their staff to competent people with a great customer service attitude and courtesy.

Dr. Spencer is hands down the best Gynecologist I've ever been to and probably the best doctor. Beside manner is terrific. She truly cares. She is smart and she is thorough. I've been going to Doctor Spencer for about 20 years and I referred at least 5 of my friends to her and they still go to her! If she takes new patients, then you are in luck.

Dr. Spencer is probably the best gyno that I have ever been to. She listens and most importantly cares about what you're going through. I was a little nervous about going to Hinsdale. I'm not from here and I heard that the people there are a little stuck up:-) but that was not the case. She is very warm and friendly. She also has a sense of humor.

Love love love Dr. Spencer. She really cares about her patients and has wonderful bedside manner. She has a ton of experience and think she's the best in the area.
