Dr. Lila B Iyer, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Iyer's for 7 years. She is extremely intelligent, stays current on new medical developments and research, and is thorough in making a diagnosis. While working efficiently, her warmth and genuine interest is palpable. She respects my intelligence and makes me a partner in my healthcare by taking seriously my observations and questions. Dr. Iyer is cautious when prescribing new medications, insisting on a follow-up visit to check for any complications. This is something I appreciate about her even though it can be inconvenient. Unless it is flu season (when waits can be long), I am not in the outer reception area more than 15 minutes, and do not have to wait more than 10 minutes in the examination room. Her assistant RN returns phone calls promptly, and if there is an urgency of need she will have you in the office within 2 days. When I have needed a referral to a specialist, Dr. Iyer has done an excellent job of guiding me to people of excellence. I… have the most absolute trust in her judgment and cannot recommend her highly enough.

She was hands down the worst doctor I have ever had. I had a sprained back which she failed to diagnose after 3 appointments. She kept telling me to take an otc anti inflamatory and keep working as a letter carrier. So I asked for a new Doctor who took an X-Ray, and found out what was wrong immediately.
