Dr. Linda Jeanette Mcgee, MD

I came to Dr McGee with problems I've had for years. I had severe cramps, neck and back pain and very poor quality sleep. She listened, appeared concerned, gave great advice and completely improved my quality of life. I'd recommend her again and again.

I recently tried to make an appointment with Dr. McGee as a new patient. First, I made my appointment through her website, then got a call from her office asking me to reschedule since she wouldn't be in. I rescheduled for the following week. Then, her assistant called me reminding me of my appointment for the wrong date because she entered it in the system wrong. So I had to reschedule yet again. Then just before my third scheduled appointment now, her assistant called me telling me I couldn't come because my medical records from my gynecologist had not yet arrived to her office. Mind you, my appointment is for a routine physical. According to the assistant, Dr. McGee requires medical records for all new patients. As I had explained upfront, I currently have no primary care doctor and gynecology records are the only type of medical records that I have. I was told that those records could take up to 30 days to arrive to a new doc's office. The records were in the process of being sent… but because they hadn’t arrived, Dr. McGee's assistant told me I couldn't keep my appointment. Can a doctor even do this? Refuse to accept a new patient just because medical records, from a different specialty field no less, haven’t arrived? My gynecologist does not hand over records directly to patients and I have no control over when these records would get there. I tried emailing Dr. McGee directly asking her to clarify her policy on medical records. She didn't bother responding. If you're looking for a doctor with competent staff, will communicate openly with you, and you can't obtain gynecology records in time for your routine check up appointment, then go elsewhere. And Dr. McGee, what do you plan to do with my private medical records that are probably in your possession by now since you refused to accept me as your patient?

I was a new patient. She seemed nice at first. Went in the second time and heard Dr. Meghee yell at her assistant for not getting my payment. She came in the patient room and stated I paid her before I left. I remember my balance was $60. I had no idea I had a balance since her assistant gave me the wrong info regarding my insurance. Very unprofessional. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Did not want to go back since.

Dr McGee and her staff are great! They treat us like family. The office is clean and she is always making improvements. Her front office staff is always friendly and knows me by name now. I would recommend Dr. McGee and her staff to anyone looking for a doctor that really cares.

She is one the most professional and compassionate doctors I've ever had!!

Dr. McGee is patient, on time, she doesn't talk down to you and she is very caring. She doesn't try to rush you out of the office, like a meat market. She cares about you and she makes you feel very special and so do her office assistants.

I started going to Dr. McGee about 6 or 7 years ago. She was always very nice, she is open, and upfront. She never made me feel like a number she was always honest and helpful. Now if I can get her to stay in one place that would be great. I have to find her at different practices but she is never too far. I look forward to catching up with her at my next appointment.

My overall experience was great! Dr. Mcgee was the first Dr. in long time to not make me feel like I was on an assembly line. She took time to talk to me and made me feel comfortable. I will see her for all my needs!!!!
