Dr. Linus S Abrams, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Abrams for several years and I feel that he truly deserves 10 stars out of 5! He has a rare mix of intelligence and empathy, and cares more about his patients than most doctors I’ve seem. He truly goes above and beyond! Dr. Abrams is thorough, intelligent, old-school and caring. If you are lucky enough to snag an appointment with him; rest assured you are in good hands!

Dr. Abrams has been nothing short of amazing. I was recommended to him by another great clinician in the midst of VERY tough time and I must say that after 6 months of his care, I am much much better. He is compassionate and is incredibly tactical and strategic about how he approached my illness. After years of misdiagnosis' and being prescribed the absolutely incorrect medications - I'm feeling for the first time in ages, balanced, present and happy. My life is so much better because of him and his knowledge and I, and my family, are extremely grateful for his care. I highly recommend Dr. Abrams!

I've been seeing Dr .Abrams on a regular basis for two years. He compassionately received my history and discussed ways to address my issues in terms of both psychotherapy and medication. In terms of therapy, he not only offered (and gave) his own services, but also took the time to meet with an existing therapist that I was seeing. In terms of medication, he reviewed several options and clearly explained side effects and mechanisms of action, taking into account my own concerns. Additionally, he consulted with a specialist I'm seeing for a separate medical issue to ensure no pharmacological complications. He freely communicates via mutually agreeable mediums, and has asked for (and participated in) check-ins between appointments. And I agree with another reviewer than his office is more like a comfortable den then a sterile office. I've seen various providers over the years and recommend Dr. Abrams with the highest confidence.

I was referred to Dr Abrahms by my therapist who highly recommended him, after seeing him I understand why she did. He listened carefully, explained in detail the reason for the recommended medications and their effects. I found his approach holistic as we also discussed my medical condition and its related medications effects, and recommended some supplements for a balanced regime. I even liked his office, I felt like I was sitting comfortably in his den rather than a sterile office, highly recommended.

Condescending arrogance is his therapy style. Way too expensive for his limited capabilities

I highly recommend Dr Abrams. I have seen others and Dr Abrams is the best. He listens, he cares, he is very responsive and obviously very smart. I deffinately feel he is fully engaged and sees me as an individual rather than a generic patient.

Dr. Abrams is intelligent and not shy about letting you know. He is very knowledgeable, yet lacks a positive bedside manner. He tends to be very condescending, so beware when asking what he would consider a dumb question. He certainly likes $ since he requires booking a full session for a quick question. Although he helped with my child's diagnosis, his dark and unfriendly demeanor exacerbated her issue and we had to change doctors.

Having been referred to him by another professional, I consider myself fortunate to have found Dr. Abrahms. His empathy, intelligence, and ability to listen sets him apart from so many others. He is a good human being who has the interest and ability to help, you will be in good hands.

Dr. Abrams takes a practical approach to psychiatry. I have never left a session without having a solution of some kind. He is a first-rate doctor who truly cares for his patients. He is flexible and understanding, and not hidebound to "theories," etc. Highest recommendation!!!
