Dr. Lois Barnes, MD

12 years ago I went into pre-term labour at 22 weeks & 4 days. Dr Barnes went above & beyond, she was more than my obgyn she was my guardian angel, a God send. After we lost the 1st twin, Dr Barnes was able to slow my contractions, prevent infection & keep us going for another 2 weeks. She delivered the 2nd twin at 24 weeks & 4 days. Throughout this whole experience she held my hand some nights, she watched me while I was sleeping, she listened to me cry, she made me laugh. I have no doubt that if I had another Obgyn my son would not be alive & healthy today. I can’t believe that anyone would say she was cold. She is an amazing compassionate doctor that takes an active interest in her patients. We can never thank her enough.

Lois Barnes happened to be on call the day my best friend went into labor. Keep in mind that this was my friend's second baby. She's done this before. She wanted to have a natural birth with no medicine. She was only dilated to 5 and the doctor basically rolled her eyes and left the room. The baby was born not even 30 minutes later. The nurses stepped in and did what they could. This woman is cold, heartless, and shouldn't be practicing medicine. Her bedside manner is non-existent. The baby came out with the cord around the neck not breathing, so the situation was highly stressful. Once the baby was doing better and they left to clean him up. the doctor needed to give my friend stitches and told her to calm down and open her legs. Then sewed her up, said nothing and walked out. Could you be a more cold heartless person? She made my friend's experience traumatic in an already highly stressful (labor) situation. I am so upset with how my friend was treated. I will tell everyone I know… about this experience.

I can't say enough about Dr. Barnes.She is excellent in every way! I couldn't be happier. Very sympathic to hormone issues and people!

I had my Daughter last year (2011) with Dr. Barnes and she was amazing! She takes her time and explaines everything in detail and made me feel very comfortable. I will go to her or all my pregnancies... My Husband wants a large Family and I told him she will be the ony Dr. To deliver our children so we are expecting again now in 2013 :) We love her.

I am writing to counter the remarks here that are so very negative and these should be disregarded. I am a health care professional, and have seen Dr. Barnes for a number of years. Additonally,I count her with saving my adult daughter's reproductive organs when she was in extreme pain and required emergency surgery for a tortion of a fallopian tube which was beginning to die. Additionally, she has been a caring physician to myself and several friends I have recommended to her practice-all ages and all stages. The fact that their is no ultrasound machine may be related to government regulatory agencies more than anything, which obviously this patient does not understand.Additionally, keeping expensive medications in a private physician office may not be the wisest idea either-thefts, going out of date, and the fact that Dr. Barnes private office is not a pharmacy are considerations. Dr. Barnes is not only caring, she is honest, and takes exactly the amount of time needed with her… patients. She also has always been available to answer questions.

she is a cold Dr. with a serious problem with race. i don't like her office the girls there are not at all friendly i don't recommend this doctor. will never go back
