Caused me to lose my gender reassignment surgery due to cancelling my surgery without clear warning and blamed another surgeon... I will be turning 26 and losing my coverage, and now, I won't be able to get my surgery after spending over $2,000 in travel and surgery preparation (electrolysis). I called to get refunded for part of my losses, and I was turned down. His practice is very unethical and won't accept responsibility for their screw ups. ??

Don’t go with him if you want anything done within a year. The team sucks at getting back to you and it’s not worth the wait — not when your state of mind depends on it. Had to find another surgeon. The people lie and say they’ve contacted insurance when they haven’t.

SRS with DR Schechter he did not do or perform as i requested and agreed rather his version of something that two other surgeons and a urologist said looks nothing like a female vigina and was more than obvious SRS with horrible scars gone wrong! one female nurse started crying said she felt so bad for me After seeing a reconstructive surgeon the third now i was told i might have a clitoris if some sort i can find and feel and labia minor .Basically having everything reconstructed said hes seen his work before i was told im lucky because i have enough material mist scars and everything can be repaired to look like a normal female as i should . Revision surgery to repair costing me 24k out of pocket avoid at all costs . I would like to add i had plenty to work with im in excellent health low BMI take care of myself actually a health freak otherwise a normal woman other doctors said my surgery is what gives it away and i need my prostate removed it shows up on the MRI also… believed to be causing me problems as well.

Dr. Schechter is very academic, well spoken, yet I have not met one person that had a vagina that was atomically correct. He makes a vestibule and it has caused me to pee on myself weekly. The depth was poor and my primary care doctor reported similar results with his other trans patients.

Christina and Elizabeth were hands down the best members on that team. From phone calls to follow ups, they reign supreme! The rest of the staff was mediocre.

I greatly appreciate the care I received from Dr. Schechter and his whole staff. Dr. Schechter is very compassionate, provided good consultation, and applied his knowledge and experience to give me a great result. I was impressed as how he set expectations so that my results were understood. I am very happy with them. The medical staff at his office are kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend Dr. Schechter.

I've been following Dr. Schechter's work for a while, and am impressed by the outcomes I've seen in photos and in person. He's been highly published throughout his career and basically writes the book on gender confirmation surgery, so he's really moved us forward. The consultation today was great. The office is in a nice location and the front office staff was really helpful and kind. Dr. Schechter explained surgical options, answered questions, and went over different procedures. I had the chance to look at surgical photos and ask any questions I needed. I've had help from the front desk staff with getting the right documentation submitted to my insurance, and that process has moved quickly. He also has a great team with him, in terms of his medical assistants, PA, and surgeons. I'm glad he's right near me.

Absolutely a great visit! Dr Schechter explained fully what the plan was going to look like gave me options, and his bed side manner was marvelous! I believe he has a whole new crew of staff working with him. From the first greeting to the last my experience was beyond words!
