Dr. Garland has always been helpful in discussions. She has concern for her patients.

This was my second visit to Dr. Garland's office. The first time I saw her, last year, she was very distracted, rushed and extremely rude. I thought maybe she was having a very difficult day and didn't give it a second thought. However, my second visit proved she is just very rude, impatient, arrogant and dismissive. She said she wasn't qualified to help me with menopausal symptoms. She treats you like you are an interruption. She gave me a list of other doctors to see for the symptoms I tried to describe to her (she tends to interrupt and talk over you), then said they weren't taking new patients. That was my last visit to her and if you are wise you won't bother to see her either. The Quad Cities or Peoria are full of caring, compassionate doctors who treat you with understanding, compassion and above all listens to you and offers some advice or treatment plan. She may have been a doctor at Cottage Hospital since she was 22 but she has no idea what it means to be a… physician.

I went to Garland after getting 2 doctors opinions that I needed a procedure, I went to Garland and she shot it down, which is fine-said she wasn't qualified. I appreciate the honesty but I have had many complicated auto-immune issues since I was 12 I am now 32 and she acted like I knew nothing. I have had over 80 procedures/surgeries and she made me feel like I knew nothing about my conditions, and then acted like I didn't know what a specialist was. I have been to so many specialists over the years. I would only recommend her if you have something really simple, still her personality in this profession is over the top, also hard to get a chance to talk... and explain everything going on. I left very frustrated.

Every single time I try to go to an appointment I have to wait for over an hour before even seeing a nurse. Then it another 45 minutes to see the doctor. Any time I ask about the wait time I'm told Pregnant ladies and babies take priority. Apparently cancer is no big deal. I had to wait 6 weeks to get the results from my biopsies. They have cancelled my appointments multiple times days ahead of the appointment for "emergancies". 2 months out from my surgery I'm still waiting for 6 week post op apt (canceled by them twice now).

She’s not a very nice person. She told me to suck up the pain. Now I am having to drive over a hour to Peoria because she won’t look further into my issue. She makes you feel like you don’t know your own body when somethings wrong. It’s awful I’ve been crying in so much pain and she refuses to help. I would not recommend for anyone’s dr especially obgyn

Dr. Garland is not only exceptionally intelligent, she is very down-to-earth and it is easy to see she cares about her patients. She personally called me on a Saturday afternoon after I was released Friday following a hysterectomy. I absolutely adore her and can't recommend her highly enough!

Dr. Garland explained everything that was going on with my body on the cellular level. I was quite impressed. I had not had that level of care in many years. I will probably get all of my records transferred to the Cottage Health system due to such great care. She is also very easy to talk to about any concerns.

Dr. Garland is the best OBGYN in Galesburg. You may have a wait in the office but it's well worth the time spent. She spends as much time needed with her patients, allows patients to ask questions, and answers all questions. She listens to her patients and cares about everyone of them. Dr. Garland made my last birthing experience the very best. I felt calm and comfortable knowing she was there to help me through it with ease. She is getting ready to deliver another child of mine! She follows up with her patients and will even make that phone call herself. I have never had a doctor call me before I started seeing Dr. Garland. She is a genuine person and an awesome doctor!!

She seems to be a good doctor with way too many patients. Always overbooked. Doesn't have much time for you.
