Dr. Lorri Cobbins, MD

I've been considering having breast augmentation for well over 10 years but my fears of possible complications stopped me from doing it sooner. I've had 5 consultations with top plastic surgeons in the Chicago land area but Dr. Cobbins was the only one who took the time to talk to me about all of my concerns (and I had a lot!) I never felt rushed and I felt really comfortable. She's very personable and knowledgeable, I had no doubts that she was the right choice for me. My procedure went really well and I'm beyond happy with my results.

Dr. Cobbins is by far one of the most professional, thorough and understanding physician that I've dealt with. She has such a warm and caring personality that on my first visit just to see if she was the one, became more like "I know this is the real deal". She always avails herself for questions or concerns and her staff just makes it even more comfortable and reassuring that you're at the right place. If you are looking for a highly recommended great plastic surgeon, Dr. Cobbins is my pick hands down. I am so very glad that I had an opportunity to meet her and get my services. I am 6 months post op and everything is better than could be expected.

I would have to write a book to properly express my appreciation and admiration for Dr. Cobbins, her expertise and human relations skills. I am not a neophyte patient by any means yet when I found her I realized that she is the best in the field I had ever encountered. I found my doctor for life!

I wish I could talk to everyone wondering about Dr. Cobbins and her work because I don't know if I'll do her justice in a written review. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Cobbins as well as the staff at the Aesthetic Institute of Chicago. Gordana, her assistant, is so lovely, and is always there to answer questions/address concerns. She truly feels like a friend! Dr. Cobbins is probably one of the most welcoming, genuine and direct doctors I've ever met. We spent so much time discussing my needs and worries about the surgery (because I freaked out a bit the week before) and she made sure that I was completely at ease before letting me leave her office. The day of, she was there to chat with me, and explained to my fiance everything that needed to be done post-op. Now...the results. LOVE LOVE LOVE my breast augmentation!!! It has been 8 weeks, and they look spectacular!!! I cannot get over how real they look and how they have truly become part of me. They are still… settling, but I could not be happier. I would recommend Dr. Cobbins to anyone looking for an honest, caring and excellent plastic surgeon! Superb work and amazing results.

After many consultations with Doctors around Chicago as well as the suburbs, I found Dr. Cobbins through an internet search. Her reviews were fantastic, so I thought I should give her a try. Initially I was put off by the $100 consultation fee, but even if I didn't go through with the procedure with her, it is worth it for the information I received in that appointment. From the first moment I met her, I felt comfortable. The consultation was incredibly informative and her bedside manner is terrific and really makes you feel at ease. I was able to ask questions and received, what I believe to be, very honest answers. I felt the procedure pros/cons/results etc was explained to me in a manner I could understand. Never at any moment did I feel rushed. Dr. Cobbins really goes out of her way to really make sure this is the procedure for you and what she can do to get you resultsâ?¦as well as what she can't. Very refreshing! As far as the procedure, I was awake during and while… it is uncomfortable to feel that vulnerable (and let's be honest, there was some pain I was feeling), but she was there with me every step of the way. She made me laugh, explained what was happening and what I would be feeling. She prepared me as much as she could for the recovery process and I could not be happier with the results! The entire staff is also fantastic when it comes to making appointments as well as communication between yourself and the office. They are a great resource! Very friendly and helpful! Stop looking for another doctor and just give Dr. Cobbins a call. She is truly the best doctor I have ever encountered and if I ever want/need another cosmetic procedure, she would be my first call. I can't recommend her enough!

After years of considering a breast augmentation-- I finally decided to have Dr. Lorri Cobbins perform the procedure and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I initially began seeing her for facial fillers. She was great- incredibly down to earth, professional, and extremely detailed in her technique. When I decided to have my breasts done, I booked a consultation with her and she was so thorough in explaining the procedure, type of implants, size, risks, etc.--I booked the surgery without even meeting with any other doctor. I felt that confident and comfortable with her. The day of surgery, I found the staff at the surgery center to be very friendly and sweet, as I was a bit nervous. After it was all said and done, I woke up with amazing breast and no nausea --which is a first ever for me (Dr. Belfonte, the anesthesiologist was amazing). I felt virtually no pain following the procedure and went from a small B to a D cup (silicone). The only discomfort I experienced was mild … soreness (similar to the feeling following an intense chest workout at the gym) but that was about it. Dr. Cobbins exceeded my expectations. After seeing other plastic surgeons over the years in Chicago for various procedures, I can honestly say Dr. Cobbins is top-notch and I would most definitely recommed her.

It was my first time undergoing any kind of plastic surgery, and Dr. Cobbins was very reassuring and thorough in explaining to me in detail what the process would involve. I had liposuction done on my upper arms and back, something I had been considering for a while but hesitant to do because of fear of pain, price and inconvenience. At our initial consultation, Dr. Cobbins explained to me what I should realistically expect my results to look like. There was no pressure to do the procedure, so I felt confident that the decision was mine. I was able to schedule the procedure within a couple of weeks, and it was done in-office and took about 3 hours. Dr. Cobbins was very good about explaining to me the medical process of liposuction under local anesthesia, and warning me about sensations I should expect at each step. So I knew when to expect pain and the pain I felt was manageable. She is very friendly, and we were able to chat, joke and play music during the procedure. The only… part that was unclear to me was how much pain medication to take post-procedure. I left the office with a hastily written prescription for two kinds of pain meds, which I had to pick up from a pharmacy on my way home. It would have been better if I was able to fill the prescription beforehand or anticipate having to fill the prescription. Dr. Cobbins was very good about taking my call the next day and answering questions I had regarding pain meds and other post-procedure steps. I would recommend Dr. Cobbins to my friends and family. I have yet to see my results because of residual swelling, but I have a feeling I am going to be as satisfied as I am with the experience.

I recently moved and needed to find a new doctor. I started googling and found The Aesthetic Institute of Chicago. I was booked with Dr. Lorri Cobbins and I couldn't be more thankful!! She was new to the area, moving her practice from New York to Chicago. Not only is she sweet with a great personality, she took the time to show me the muscle structure of the face and really EDUCATE me on Botox and were to place it. I've been getting Botox for many years and have never been so educated till now! All the other times I went into the other doctors I would have a bit of anxiety because I was worried "hope it comes out good" or "what if they don't do it right this time". After Dr. Cobbins explained everything to me I didn't have a single doubt in my mind she knew what she was doing! I am writing this review after my second visit and couldn't be happier! I've never had such a great result in the 4 years I've been getting injected. On my next visit I will be getting filler and Botox. I've… always been wary of it but after my first appointment with Dr. Cobbins I know the woman is a real artist! The only person I trust with my face. Thank you for everything Dr. Cobbins! You're the best!

Dr Cobbins is fantastic ...she is not only a perfectionist in her field, she makes you feel completely comfortable ..I've had other cosmetic procedures done in the state of Florida, and she exceeds any of the doctors...highly recommend her...the best!

I was extremely pleased with my experience as a patient of Dr. Cobbins. The plastic surgery that she performed on me was excellent (abdominoplasty, brachioplasty) and I highly recommend her to anyone. She is a compassionate doctor who is very good at what she does. She was very attentive to my needs both before and after surgery and was always available when needed. The staff in her office are also wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a more talented and caring surgeon to help transform my body and in doing so, my life.
