Dr. Leonard Lu, MD

Dr. Lu seemed very kind and explained things but since I didn't know what to expect I didn't ask the right questions and he wasn't clear. After the original surgery I developed an infection which required additional surgeries. He also knicked the implant causing an additional surgery. I should have stopped seeing him but because he was so nice I went back until everything was completed. As of this moment I can't wear a bra because they will not fit. I have one breast that is big and saggy and has too much extra skin. On the other side he made that one too small, so I have two different sized breasts. I expected to look normal but instead I am ugly. I would not recommend him for breast surgery.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 66. Within a week, I was told that not only did I have cancer, but it was in multiple places within the breast, so I would have to have a total mastectomy. My surgeon suggested physicians whom she trusted to do my reconstruction. I selected Dr. Lu based on his education, experience and interests. I will forever be thankful that he was willing to take me as a patient. He explained the entire reconstruction process to my husband and me. He answered our questions and made us feel comfortable and secure in the decisions I was making. This very skilled surgeon is kind, compassionate, professional, and easy to talk with during visits. The surgeries went smoothly and he offered me choices during the reconstruction when possible. My reconstruction is finished and the results are better than I ever thought possible. I have regained my self-confidence and am feeling like I am very fortunate to have had such a fine physician to get me through a… difficult time in my life.

Dr.Lu performed a breast reduction on me over 4 years ago. He did an outstanding job and I am still happy with the results to this day. Dr. Lu and his staff made me comfortable and did everything that they could to make sure my insurance covered the procedure. Dr.Lu met with me and my parents on a weekday after he had been in surgery all day, even though he initially was scheduled to take the evening off. After speaking with me and answering all of my questions, he went out to the waiting room and sat down with my parents to explain everything to them and answer their questions. That right there showed me how much he cared.

I have the upmost respect for Dr Lu. He took a lot of time telling me the choices I had for reconstruction after the masectomy. He is very caring. The results were great. I would highly recommend him.

I am a medical professional and I required a rhinoplasty because of trauma. Dr. Lu took quite a bit of time explaining the procedure, and explaining all of my options. The procedure went very well, and I felt properly informed what to expect regarding the healing process. The result was even better than I expected. He improved upon Mother Nature and yet no one would ever know that I had surgery done. In addition, he is highly regarded at the hospital among the medical staff as both an excellent surgeon and a caring and responsible doctor.

I recently had a tummy tuck procedure with Dr. Leonard Lu in Skokie. To say I was pleased with the results would be an understatement!!! From my first consult appointment to my final followup, this experience has been more than I could have imagined. Not only were the results beautiful, but the amount of time and concern Dr. Lu and his staff spend on me was something I can never forget. The results were beyond my expectations and this experience makes me consider more surgery.

Dr. Lu and all his staff were amazing! I would recommend him to anyone!! Not only did he do a fantastic job surgically but he has great bed side manners as well. He was easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. He was always available for questions before and after surgery! I was VERY happy with my results and I am 2 1/2 months post op breast augmentation.

Dr. Lu made me feel so comfortable for my breast reduction. He explained the procedure to me and kept me comfortable during my hospital stay. He showed up to my hospital bed the morning after the surgery in a full suit, ready to answer any of my questions and to make sure I was feeling comfortable. Dr. Lu is one of the most professional doctors that I have ever had and I highly recommend him. I am very happy with the results of my surgery. Freddie was also a great help and she was the best support in making sure that my insurance covered the surgery.

Lovely person, very calming. I trusted him in surgery for 6 hours. I woke up and after a couple days my perfect perky youthful breasts were amazing!!! Life changing. If I ever do anything else Dr. Liu is my guy.

Dr. Lu is an extremely skilled plastic surgeon. I had at the same time: a breast lift and augmentation, tummy tuck, medial thigh lift and liposuction. My procedures were expertly done. My recovery was fairly easy and this is all due to Dr. Lu's care , talent and compassion. He always has time for me , no matter when I call. I have recommended him to several clients and will continue to do so. The office staff is also wonderful, especially the patient coordinator, Freddie.
