Summary
Dr. Louis Karras grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry from 1985 to 1989. He then continued his post-graduate studies in the field of Endodntics and received a Certificate in the specialty of Endodontics in 1991. Dr. Karras entered private practice, limited to Endodontics, while teaching on a part-time basis as Assistant Clinical Professor of Endodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. At present, Dr. Karras maintains a full-time private practice, limited to Endodontics in Lincolnwood, Illinois.
Dr. Karras is an active member in the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. He is a past president and current Executive Director of the Hellenic American Dental Society and has …conducted numerous seminars to various local organizations and dental study clubs. Dr. Karras enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children.Â
