Dr. Louis L Kralick, MD

Was diagnosed with a mass in my brain. Dr Kralick was on call and did the surgeries needed. He and his PA Kacee we’re wonderful! I just had my 16 week check up and I’m doing everything I did before surgery. I’m sooo thankful!

I started with Dr. Kralick in 2009(Tumor was 8mm). My MMR’s of 2011,2012,2013 all stated the tumor was bending the pituitary stem(blood flow) each time he stated that my optic nerve was ok and there was no need to remove the tumor. I finally went to UCLA and their head neurosurgeon said it was criminal. It was 15.2 and cutting off blood flow to the pituitary.

I was first operated on by Dr Kralick about 3-4 years ago. I chose him because of his excellent recommendations from former patients. I had a severely pinched nerve in my neck and was in excruciating pain. His office staff dropped the ball on getting their paperwork done, and I had to be reschedule for a month later... twice. But the surgery went so well, that I selected him for my latest neck fusion (later I found out that he should have done both at the same time). I did not know he had two malpractice suits against him. Again the office staff dropped the ball on the paperwork and my surgery was again delayed two months from the original date. Then I had a huge hematoma that required another surgery. It took me 6 months to recover from the anesthesia and the surgery did not come out as well. He is not the same doctor he once was. I barely saw him before and after the surgery and his PA can earn a medal for jumping to the wrong conclusions. I would not give him any stars… now, but I have to give him one.

Seriously, keep looking. There’s a real reason you’re reading all these negative reviews. Just because someone is called the best in Alaska does not mean they’re the best. Research and either see Dr. Jensen in FBX (worth the drive) or go out of State.

Dr Kralick did neck surgery on me. I have no scar and am doing wonderfully. His front office and nursing staff have been very helpful and friendly. There is often a wait or delay in the schedule but I realize that he often has to squeeze in emergencies and since this group is the only neurosurgical docs I'd let touch me in town, I can see why there's often a wait.

Did surg two times it fail took no responsiablity didn't put name on records but wanted thousands of dollars not honest bad surgeon did great harm a lot suffering bad doctor

Waited 2 months for an appointment, Dr. Kralick spent maybe 10 minutes with me only after his PA saw me on the first visit. He was very condescending and rude. I needed surgery badly but I suffered until I found another neurosurgeon rather than give him a dime of my money. I'm so happy I did as I later learned he has a low success rate for helping anyone get better.

Docs at this facility are ok, staff, wait times and office policies are awful!

Dr. Kralick, performed surgery to correct my bulging C5 disc, which was making contact with nerves leading out to my left arm , that caused Severe Paine, Tingling and Numbness. This surgery was performed at Alaska Regional Medical Center well over 15 years. I have had no problems what so ever. Dr. Kralick is one the best, and I would highly recommend him to any who requires his expertise. any one
