Dr. Louise Garcia, MD

Would like to know if she accepts medicare

Dr. Louise Garcia is one of a kind. As a baby boomer I invest in my health including finding the best doctors and am so appreciative that Dr. Garcia is part of my medical team. She is kind and listens to me and treats me as a whole person as she puts together a treatment plan, not as a collection of body parts. This coupled with her significant expertise in her field (women's health) makes her a true gem. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an expert in this field.

Dr Garcia is amazing. Her treatment of my pelvic pain. She is a highly specialized gynecologist. Besides treating my pain, she is diligent in monitoring my overall health.

I love this office. Dr. Garcia and her staff are wonderful, caring people. I feel like I'm visiting family when I go. The doctor's bedside manner is incomparable. She is thorough and answers all my questions thoroughly and completely. I never feel rushed out, and in fact, the complete opposite.

Dr. Garcia is one of the most disrespectful dr's i've met. Always belittling patients and making them feel stupid. After me explaining my dislikes of certain birth controls, she continued to have me try a kind I did not like. She didnt care whatsoever that I was uncomfortable with it. I lasted a week before I stopped using it and went back to her. She seams to want the flow of people just for the money. And also tried to have me join a pyramid scheme. I dont know why a doctor needs more money and tries to sell her patients on that. Isnt there a doctor-patient privacy act of some sort?

Dr. Garcia always had a nurse helping her putting info into computer while examining me. The nurse had that funny look on her face as if trying not to laugh. I felt very uncomfortable. Another time there was a different nurse but with the same unprofessional attitude. Not coming back.

I had been Kathy Pavel's patient when she worked there, and then, without any notice, I come in one day and get switched to Dr. Garcia. I was not happy about it, but figured "eh" why not give her a try. One of my visits, she started to give me some sales pitch, and asked me if I wanted to "make some extra money." I was curious what she was talking about- thought maybe a clinical trial, etc. She then began to get very agressive with me and start to pressure and push me towards being in some pyrmid scheme selling phones. She started calling my cell phone and home phone telling me to come over to her house to watch a video. EXTREMLY unprofessional. I never authorized my phone numbers to be used in this manner. This is- correction, this WAS my doctor. On top of this, usually I get a letter in the mail telling me everything is ok. Not this time- I had to come in. I go in, and meet with her- only to tell me everything is ok. Oh, and by the way, was I still interested? Keep in mind, I STILL… had to pay the co-pay just to tell me the same thing that the piece of paper that they usually send would have. Avoid Dr. Garcia at all costs.

The only thing I agree with the other commentor is that, the office is nicely decorated and clean with lots of good and current reading material that you don't get to read because there is usually NO WAITING. The previous commentor mentioned that she was upset by the topic chosen to talk about during her exam...well, personally, my feeling on that is that Dr. Garcia was diverting her attention as these visits can be uncomfortable. I have never had a problem with Dr. Garcia ever being unprofessional! Sometimes you need to find something to talk about...it doesn't always come easy to everyone and maybe this person was not easy to talk to ..because Dr. Garcia is. I was referred several years to Dr. Garcia by a dear friend. My friend had been seeing another OB/GYN that missed her cancer. DR. GARCIA FOUND THAT CANCER AND SAVED MY FRIEND'S LIFE! Dr. Garcia has never pushed any prescription nor is she ever in a hurry to prescribe unnecessarily. I've NEVER felt neglected...on the… contrary! She is amazingly thorough and is sweet and kind. She refers me for what is necessary and is careful to make sure I understand what is covered or not with my insurance as a "head's up", not a deterrent. The staff are very nice and they always take the time for me..even if I call with a question on the phone. I am never turned away. They put the appropriate party on the phone to answer my question(s). My insurance is billed correctly and everything is discussed before I even have to ask. No surprises! The health questionnaire that you fill out is very lengthy-thorough. It is then entered into the computer by the staff and reviewed with you in the treatment room by Dr. Garcia. She makes corrections or additional notes at that time. The comment before says that whenever she leaves a blood or urine sample.....THEY SEND YOU TO A LAB FOR BLOODWORK, (Quest Diagnostics)..so did this person write this review on the wrong office and doctor??? I never have a problem getting an appointment as they usually accommodate me nicely. I always have more than enough time with the doctor. I never feel rushed. Dr. Louise Garcia is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
