Dr. Lowell Anthony Adkins, MD

I was on time for my appointment but when I was assigned a examination room I waited 1 hour and never saw a doctor. I walked out and said I am not paying and my insurance is not paying. not acceptable

Very slow service. Unprofessional!!!

I did have to wait quite awhile before he saw me (what else is new?), but I was impressed by his thoroughness in going over medical history et al. Instead of a 10-minute rushed visit (my previous experiences with doctors and specialists) he took his time and spent a good hour with me going over the details of my medical and family history. The office staff was also first class-- friendly, helpful and service oriented. I left confident I was in good hands.

I just recently had first visit with Dr. Adkins. He is very thorough and very personable. I've always had a fear of the doctor but not with him. The staff is also AWESOME.I have a real phobia of blood being drawn. However Shirley put me at ease while drawing blood . She and the rest of the staff are a credit to their profession! I look forward to a long relationship with the doctor and his staff....

Great support staff. Terry is beyond handsome. Ebveyone is professional and does their best to help with the whole person not just the sick part of you.

Unless you don't have to visit a doctor very often, common knowledge is you will have to wait, especially if it is your primary care physician. My previous pcp's receptionist wouldn't even stop her personal cell phone conversation in order to hand you the sign in sheet. I don't even want think about the 2.5 to 4 hour waiting room time. Then you would wait another hour to 1.5 hours waiting in the exam room. Yes Dr. Adkins office is busy, and yes you will be in the waiting room longer than 15 minutes; but the staff is very nice, they speak to you like a patient SHOULD be spoken to. I have not personally been seen by Dr. Adkins, but have been very satisfied with his support staff and their capabilities, and if you knew me personally; you would know that is an exceptionally difficult thing to satisy me about. I look forward to being a patient of Dr. Adkins for as long as my insurance allows me to be his patient.

Complete waste of time. Had an 11:20 appointment and waited over an hour finally left.The receptionist was unprofessional, constantly talking on the phone (personal calls), not dressed appropriately.I Will never recommend this doctor to anyone. Its apparent the only time that has any value or meaning to Lowell is his own.

dr.adkins is a very good doctor he's caring and polite most of all his diagnoses is almost always acurate but, the wait to see him is pretty extreme but i guess to do it right takes time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Adkins for 4 years. He always spends whatever amount of time is required to explain your situation or his ideas for treatment, and to answer any questions. I never feel rushed. If you take several medications as I do, he will schedule follow up labs and visits to monitor results, with the goal of reducing or eliminating medications. He and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend this doctor.
