Dr. Lowell Meredith Anderson, MD

As a nurse myself, I have a good idea of how things work, how good doctors behave, and how they treat patients. Anderson rang every alarm bell from the moment I walked into his office. I had an unfortunate accident and was confined to a wheelchair, unable to work, and in significant pain. I had seen a number of other doctors, all of whom were in agreement about my injuries and the cause. I also had any number of X-rays, MRI’s and other reports. My visit to Dr. Anderson was mandated by an attorney hired to see that my efforts to collect disability would be denied. Since Anderson was chosen by that attorney, I can only suppose he was told what to “diagnose” before I ever came through his door! His verdict was that everyone else was wrong, including doctors, radiologists and films, and that nothing in the world was wrong with me! Anderson was not thorough in his history or his exam or polite in his dismissal of my complaints. I guess you get what you pay for, and the… attorney pays for an IME. Fortunately I am married and my husband is employed. Disability would certainly help with expenses, but we won’t starve. Thanks for your “care”, Dr. Anderson: I just have one question. How do you square this behavior with your Hippocratic Oath?

First words out of his mouth was about my previous IME and how that other Dr was wrong yet he wouldn't rate me his recommendation was a MRI and consult with another orthopedic surgeon then he writes an addendum that I'm better than the previous Dr rated me yet this arrogant a$$ hole told me I needed further treatment and tell L&I I'm better did I mention he's an arrogant been there done everything twice a$&!!

What an awful experience with a pompous, arrogant doctor. His bedside manner lacked a lot to be desired and many times he interuppted me and I never hot to finish my sentence. I guess he knuws it all. He intimidated me and didn't treat me with dignity nor respect. I have worked very hard for 27 years in the medical/surgical field (for some amazing, talented GREAT doctors, of which this man is no where even in the ballpark if their caliber) at the expense of two reconstructed shoulders, one hip and a jaw. He made me feel like I was lying and trying to "trick the system"--yeah, right, L&I, a real "system." I am now disabled because I worked hard and gave it my all, and he treated me like I was the scum of the earth. I don't see how the man came sleep at night cheating people like me out of what us due. 14% disabilty? More like 30%. How can his short visit with me trump my surgeon's and other healthcare providers' expertise? Life goes on and I will be okay--broken, but okay. My "grit" is… stronger than this man!
