Dr. Lucas Jurgen Beerepoot, MD

Dr Bureepute was very condescending and unprofessional. Came into office last August with issues of mobility and neuropathy. He told me to lose weight, watch my sugars and wear different shoes. My sugars have always been below 100 and although I may be heavy. I am not overweight. I failed the test for pro perception could not feel on both my legs and despite that still said I needed to lose weight. Turned out I had a mengioma tumor in my spine. If he had just ordered imaging, they could have found the tumor earlier. Makes me angry.

Dr Beerpoot is the most arrogant condensending Dr I have seen. He was more interested in pushing the Covid vaccine then evaluating my problem. He even went so far to say nobody would do surgery on me without the vaccine scare tactic. I later had neck surgery at Shands without the vaccine just had to take the Covid test. I would never go back to him.

Dr. Beerepoot came highly recommended, so I was excited about the visit. However, I left highly disappointed. I took my grandmother to get evaluated for memory loss/dementia. My grandmother wears hearing aids, but didn't have them that day. I explained this to Dr. Beerepoot, but he didn't take that into consideration when evaluating her. Instead, he got really frusturated and lost his patience with her and having to repeat himself. He quickly told her to stop driving and refused to give her any medications. I inquired about doing the exam over when she had her hearing aids, but was told my grandmother was "too far gone." I kept count and my grandmother got a lot of the questions correct. The only ones she missed where questions where it required repeating items back (like sentences). If you have a choice, I would go elsewhere, especially if you are elderly. I agree with other posters... he has a "God" complex. Run!

Gave me results of testing in a very compassionate manner. His staff were also friendly and efficient. Appointments ran on time and never felt he was in a rush to finish up and get on to the next patient. Highly recommend.

I can overlook rude and condescending but Beerepoot is also downright creepy! Total Dr. Hannibal Lecter vibe. I went to a neurologist for a legitimate medical problem but received an unsolicited psychoanalysis from a creep. If anyone needs a mental evaluation it’s him. I’d rather see Dr. Lecter because Beerepoot’s so-called medical opinions were so far off I thought he was making a bad joke. It was an experience right out of the Twilight Zone.

Never has a doctor spent so much time reviewing with me, actually having an office visit with me and seeing me on a short notice late in the day. Absolutely loved his bedside manner and patience care experience! Highly recommend

Takes his time to listen to you, works hard to make you feel better.

Could possibly be the most unfriendly, strangest(who shakes hands with a fistful of foaming hand sanitizer?!) doctors I've ever dealt with. Seriously, next time just wave at me. I spent the short visit awkwardly wiping dripping sanitizer off of my hand while he mostly sat and frowned in awkward silence. I did get the "follow my (sanitized) finger" test but sadly no answers to my (interrupted) questions and diagnosis inquiry. I already felt lost and very ill, I guess I didn't like feeling dirty and dumb too.

Dr. Beerepoot was the worst doctor I have ever come into contact with. As mentioned in other patient reviews, he seems to have a "god" complex and my view, observations, and concerns were of no interest to him. His diagnoses of me consisted of asking me questions about my family instead of questions about me. He never asked me about my diet, lifestyle, habits, stress, work environment or other issues that have been found to be a primary cause for my condition. He insulted me, made a rude comment about a family member's death, was belligerent when I questioned his diagnoses and made me more depressed than I already was given the major issues that I recently experienced. I will never see him again and I will doubtfully ever return to Shands even though I did meet some pretty awesome doctors there. Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction if you are ever referred to him. He is caustic and should not be a doctor.

I felt bad when I came in & after waiting over a hour . This Dr did nothing for me . His bedside manner ......he has no manners . I'm from the south & like a caring & warm caregiver. He was really matter of fact type answers . Leaving in tears & my MS feeling worse!! Lost & looking for the right Dr.
