Dr. Luis Guillermo Figueroa, MD

I have been seeing Dr Figueroa for a few years to manage my migraines. He is always kind and thoughtful. He asks questions in a gentle way and listens to my responses. And I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes. One other reviewer complained about the front office and I agree that there could be improvements there. But Dr Figueroa gets my highest endorsement.

He may be on time but is unprepared. He also is also in a hurry. Office people make it clear they don't like dealing with HMO clients. Will continue to see him for migraines but that's about it.

I have been to see Dr. Figueroa 3 times. Each time it has taken longer than it should for a "person" to answer the phone. The last time the young woman who answered the phone when I called for an appointment was very unprofessional and ignorant sounding. The Florida Spine Institute should train their employees on how to be professional. How to make people feel at ease when they call. While they may not take their jobs or positions seriously, I feel that my call is very important and I expect to be treatd in such a manner. I feel that Dr. Figueroa is very concervative and if he can't figure out what is going on he will send you to get various tests until a conclusion is reached. I feel that he could do a better job in following up with patients but he does call you back when you leave a message.
