Dr. Pena-Hernandez is a very knowledgeable physician. My husband has asthma and needed a specialist because of a chronic cough. We are both thrilled with Dr. Pena-Hernandez's warm and caring manner. He never acts rushed. Dr. Pena-Hernandez takes his time and makes every effort to figure out the cause of the problem. He is happy to answer all questions and explains everything in a simple, yet thorough way. As a result of Dr. Pena-Hernandez's excellent recommendations, my husband is breathing better than he has in 20+ years and his chronic cough has disappeared. I have already recommended him to several friends.

Waited an hour to hear my asthma is psychosomatic. Maybe I'm living in a newly renovated house that has some paint, plaster and what not floating around or perfuming the air and that might be the issue. Why do all pulmonologists like to prescribe Nexium? Do they get rewarded? I don't suffer from acid reflux but I got a prescription for two weeks of Nexium. Is it my age and I'm supposed to need it???? Does everyone get Nexium? He talks too much and doesn't listen. He seems to listen but I don't think it goes in. He pretends. Why can't the office call prescriptions in properly? Why do I need to speak to them a fourth time to ask them to get it right? I'm not going back. One visit was enough. I am feel an asthma attack coming on from the stress of dealing with this office. Help!!!!!

Dr. Pena is an excellent Pulmonary Specialist. My COPD and Asthma has improved greatly since he started treating me, I would recommend him highly. He also takes the time to listen to you attentively and with caring.

I have chronic issues with my lungs. Dr Hernandez Pena is smart, knowledgeable, accessible, efficient yet generous with his time. I have great confidence in his judgement and treatment suggestions. I now have a good life because of his care.
