Luiz is an extremely competent physician. Extremely hard working and who cares for his patients. It is sad to see reviews of individuals who just want to defame a physician who has been so dedicated to his craft. Pain management is very difficult.

What more could you ask for in a health care giver?

Just saying... these CLEAN UP services who specialize in making negative, however honest reviews, disappear? JOB WELL DONE ! Now, make sure all of you involved in this medical cover up...become actual patients of Massa's !! What could go wrong with this ? You'll soon find out ! My appt. with this tool, was the most surreally negative, of my entire life..His complete and utter contempt for the feelings of his patients, is impossible for him to conceal ! And his chosen field is Psychiatry??? You will find a more caring, compassionate and more noble soul, by consulting a certifiable sadist during your time of grief....Help others by documenting your encounter with this shameless, unrepentent BULLY

This LUIZ M MASSA physician is un-rate-able under my Blue Cross portal which raised red flags even more so, especially after my misfortunes of trusting the medical directors reputation would not allow the sort of business which happened to myself and many others. I had a very pleasant first year at this practice but the second year became more and more shifty and surreal as the months passed by. I also discovered and reported possible fraud (or errors as the investigation will reveal) being committed at IPM under this one particular doctor. I was threatened by a Gloria who is apparently the latest office manager. She literally grabbed my arm at my last visit as I was saying goodbye to the reception ladies and M.A.'s whom I had always had good rapport with until then after i got switched back to the other office where I asked to be relocated to a different doctor since 4-5 are working under the practice and licensed in Florida. LUIZ MASSA has a photo on the IPM webpage which… looks nothing AT ALL like the man who appears as DR.MASSA in the practice. I find this extremely odd and so did my husband who encouraged me to have legal counsel and others compare and it is agreeable by them as well that this does not seem to be the proper photo for the man who comes in to sign prescriptions & treat chronic pain patients at this practice, not only never earned my respect as my pain specialists after 2 before left out the door as LUIZ MASSA was one of 4-5 different physicians (specialists in chronic pain, accordingly) whom I saw at The Institute of Pain (as it states on the receipt i was given numerous times over near exact 2 yr period). I find it irony of ironies that the receipt should read in such a way (THE INSTITUTE OF PAIN) when they could have simply removed THE and abbreviated INST. & MGMT. to make the quota for the particular machine/device they use. As a patient of 2 years near to the exact I am appalled by the behavior that has been allowed to happen at this particular "business." To me it is palinly bad bad medicine as my life, agonies, severe hardships, extreme emotional aggravation, pain enormously intensified and why why why I ask but get no proper answer of response in my small (so far) efforts. dr. MASSA has been called "Dr.Messy" by other patients, who upon seeing me in tears trembling with fear and pain, came to tell me their stories and to try their best to reassure me and themselves; I am quite sure and certain. Luiz Massa treated me disrespectfully & he did fail to honor his duty of care in my most humbled and respectful opinion. LUIZ MASSA plain and simply put my life in danger (absolutely), on top of punishing me for not wanting to take a highly addictive new medicine for my particular disorder (because i did my research ad told the man that i do indeed have mood disorder and that at a pivotal moment in my career this could cause me great risks i wished not to take. I pleaded and begged this man and that is so humiliating to feel need to do so in order to have access to the medications which greatly improve your life quality when managed properly. LUIZ MASSA has no accuracy in my opinion, nor does he have the skill and experience to deal with chronic pain patients. LUIZ MASSA failed me in every way imaginable and unimaginable. He also made a major liability for IPM in not managing the insurance billing appropriately, not allowing me (& more than a dozen you can be sure) other patients our rights under laws to be involved in our personal and very important health "care" choices, as well as to have part own personal treatment plans. This is my mere opinion and feedback to you as the reader and potential patient or other entity monitoring this site. in my humbled & witnessed -audio recording evidence according to laws as well-opinion . I was seen by by more than 5-6 people in San Marco office where i asked to be transferred due to lack of communication w/Mr. Massa. I went as a patient w/little to no insurance benefits to the IPM practice after being referred ( during a literally last minute phone call where every patient under my former physicians caseload was left in the cold to fend for their own illnesses however-whatever means possible lest suffer life threatening withdrawals, etc.). The laws in our Florida state have since changed to prevent this sort of solitary practice of specialized medicine with o back up physician to carry the patient load lord forbid an accident such a this one i write of, should occur. This transfer to Institute of Pain Mgmt, Inc. ( a private medical business [keyword=BUSINESS] as so many legitimately present and so many of us people do not realize that near ANY medical profession aside for a non profit organization- veterinary medicine included IS BUSINESS. I transferred to IPM when my former pain specialist had a severe injury rendering him unable to practice medicine and i would not recommend this particular doctor LUIZ MASSA to my worst enemy were i to have one. This letter concludes an accurate idea of how passionately offended I am by how doctors who practice what i deem "bad medicine" can disregard duties of care to us as patients and more reason why I wish more of us could & would come together to form advocacy support groups where an open forum of opinions and discussions of all that matters most to us can be carried on.
