Dr. Lydia A Bishop, MD

Dr Bishop is an okay doctor , she ask to many personal questions & always says " Good Good " to everything

At first I thought she might be a good doctor but then things went south really quick! My daughter has a previous case of ocular herpes which is a serious eye condition which could cause her to go blind. I didn't want to take her to an emergency room so I called to see if I could get a prescription ( the quicker she gets the medicine the better) but lydia didn't want to come into the office or prescribe a prescription that she has had before.... Lydia didn't bother to even call and check up on her either!!! Horrible doctor and doesn't care about spending time and really checking what is wrong with your child.... Take you kids somewhere else!

Worse doctor ever! The first time I took my child to see this doctor was because he had a horrible cough and runny nose that would not go away, she simply said he needed time and would get better; a month went by still not better, the 3rd time I took him in she had the nerve to tell me that if I didn't want my child to get sick that I should stay home with him and not send him to daycare anymore. I immediately switched doctors and my son was diagnosed with a sinus infection that an antibiotic cleared right up. Dr. Bishop kept playing it off saying he would get better and he never did! So glad we switched to a competent doctor.

Dr.Lydia Bishop has been our pediatrician for four years. Both my boys go to her. She is amazing. My one-year old, when he was three weeks old was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis. It was right before the Thanksgiving holiday of 2009, he was throwing up, I called there after hour service, immediate response from RN on-call. Dr Bishop, sent me to get ultrasound, he was diagnosed, and was admitted to hospital.I love her after hour service and weekend clinics, they prevent me from having to wait at the ER. Her staff is wonderful, don't wait long for appointments, she addresses all my concerns. I lived in Arlington and now I live in Saginaw, I drive 40 minutes just to see her, and will not change my pediatrician. She is does not chit-chat and is direct to the point, some don't like that, but I don't want my pediatrician to by my friend I want her to be professional, and Lydia Bishop is definitely professional.

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. I went to see her because my son's pediatrician is full booked that day. She is rude and impatient. and didn't really look at my son. She looked in a hurry and spent 5 minutes with us.

Dr. Bishop has been our pediatrician for both of our children since they were born. She is very thorough, empathetic, and will answer any questions or concerns. Her nurse Bev is also extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgable. The only difficulty we've ever had with Dr. Bishop's office is inaccurate billing from staff at the front desk. We always get it straightened out but it's happened more than once. Small inconvenience for the assurance we get from seeing Dr. Bishop as our children's pediatrician.

I would never recommend this doctor to any patient. She is very unprofessional and rude to new clients in particular. Just moved to the area and was looking for a pediatrician for my baby - she refused to give him a healthy baby check-up because I not comfortable vaccinating him that day.
