Dr. Lynn Vano Amores, MD

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Dr. Amores fills part of her day as a “doctor” working for insurance companies to deny insurance coverage for treatments wholly outside her practice area for patients she has never seen. I have a pituitary issue with abnormal bloodwork and my pituitary specialist at Cedars ordered an MRI. I have been waiting MONTHS for this MRI while suffering from side effects from abnormal hormone levels as I wait for an MRI to diagnose and treat me. I just had to cancel my MRI appointment. Why? Because Dr. Amores works for Anthem insurance as a “review doctor” and apparently thinks she’s qualified as a pituitary specialist and denied my MRI from being performed at the facility where my actual doctor and ordering physician works (Cedars). If you’re looking for a dr that cares about treating patients, keep looking, Dr. Amores is an insurance company lackey who lets patients suffer to make sure insurance companies don’t have to provide the coverage you’re entitled to.
