Dr. Lynn Ann Fesenmyer, MD

The most caring Dr. I was lucky to have her deliver my baby in 2020 and I've been visiting her ever since. She really listens to women and helps them find the right options for them.

I love Dr. Fesenmyer, she is easy to talk to, never judging, very tender and understanding. I recommend her for all our woman needs. I enjoy our visits and she explains everything she is doing and why. Great with the younger generation as well.

Today I experienced the WORST pain I've ever experienced in my life. I am a chronic pain sufferer, a cancer survivor, and have an obscenely high pain tolerance. I was SCREAMING in pain during this endometrial biopsy procedure and was sobbing for well-over an hour after this procedure because I was in so much pain. Never did she mention that it would be *this* painful. She ambushed me (during what was *supposed* to be a pre-op consultation) for a PAP Smear that I was NOT due to have done and mentioned off-the-cuff that she needed to do an endometrial biopsy -- saying it needed to be done because I am on Tamoxifen, which is known to occasionally cause uterine cancer. Not once did she mention that the pain caused by the endometrial biopsy would be excruciating. Not once did she offer any numbing of my cervix or any pain relief medication. Not once did she take into consideration my Fibromyalgia or that I have PTSD -- even though it's documented in my chart. I am FURIOUS and… will be contacting the head of gynecology at Northwestern CDH to report this incident as I was AMBUSHED during what was *supposed* to be only a pre-op consultation with NO PAP scheduled or necessary at the time of my visit, was not advised of how painful the procedure would be, and was not offered *any* pain relief or numbing of the cervix for this procedure. The LAST time I had an endometrial biopsy -- it was done while I was under general anesthesia during a D&C procedure --- so I didn't feel anything but some tolerable discomfort and had some light spotting afterwards and I had pain meds afterwards. This time, I was wide awake with no numbing and no additional pain meds given or advised prior to the procedure. I walked into the office expecting a consultation -- knowing full-well that I AM NOT DUE for a PAP smear and this gynecologist AMBUSHED me -- demanding a PAP and an endometrial biopsy before referring me to the surgeon that will be performing my surgery. This entire procedure left me feeling completely violated and I will NEVER trust this gynecologist again. I will be finding someone ELSE at Northwestern CDH who is at least HONEST about the pain and who'd NEVER violate not only my trust, but my body by doing a procedure like this without proper pain relief before and after. I am NEVER letting anyone do an endometrial biopsy on me every again -- with or WITHOUT anesthesia.

I am 65 and went to Dr Fessenmeyer for my annual. From the moment she walked in the exam room she showed interest in my overall health. I was not rushed and she took time to discuss any concerns I had. She was thorough and professional.

unprofessional and horrible bedside manner. I would not recommend this doctor or practice. They don't know you on a personal level and treat you like a number.

This is a doctor who is only in practice for providing basic care and collecting a paycheck. She has antiquated information, is cold and unfriendly. She lacks respect for patients due to her Poor listening and communication skills. When your in a doctor’s care especially for an intimate woman exam you really want to be able to trust the doctor. She could care less about you as a person. I have never had an OBGYN who was that mechanical in her mannerisms when interacting with patients. her staff was great. She needs to go back to medical school because their are plenty of great OBGYNs out there. Unfortunately she is not one of them. Can not recommend to my worst enemy.

She was on call when I wanted to get checked for my contractions. Triage monitored me for two hours. I was 2cm and she admitted me over phone. When I got up to L&D she had a nurse tell me she suggests breaking my water. She came in 1.5 hours before her shift ended, quick small talk about how the tool is like a crochet hook and that I'd feel a warm gush. It was quick and she left just as quick. After that is when I found out the next doc comes in at noon. He was stuck with me... I was only 2cm with my water artificially ruptured. Had to start me on pitocin and my labor stalled and it ended in a c section. She should not have kept me around that long in triage, should have sent me home. She never talked to me about breaking my water before admitting me. In my medical record, she admitted me for "prolonged latent labor" when really my contractions had just started 7 hours ago. she says I was 2cm, 90% effaced, and baby in middle position. The next doctor on call reported I was… 2cm, only 60% effaced, and baby in -2 high position and that was in EARLY latent labor. In my records she mentions the plan was labor management and a term for breaking my water and that this and all risks were discussed but it never was.

Only wants to provide minimal care. She only wants easy patients that do not require much other than an easy delivery or once a year check up. She is lazy and only there to collect a paycheck. She has a car wash mentality and women's health is not her concern. She lacks listening skills and through care and bases her recommendations on out-dated information. If you have a complicated history stay away. There are plenty of good OBGYN's around out there. Can't recommend her to my worst enemy.

I have been seeing Dr Fesenmeyer for about 18~ years now. She is a great. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a female ob/gyn doctor

Dr Fesenmyer is always professional and yet so approachable. I am completely comfortable during exams and have complete trust with the results. Dr Fesenmyer is always pleasant.
