Dr. Madhuri Rao Devdhar, MD

My thyroid was extremely low when I went to Dr. Devdhar after being released from the hospital. She was very concerned and worked with me for over a year to get my thyroid back to normal. That was 5 years ago and she continues to check and keep my thyroid normal. I trust her with my health. She is a very knowledge doctor in several areas of my health.

My authorization for a medical device to deliver insulin expired and I was never notified. When I tried to get the Rx filled, the pharmacy told me medicare had not approved the refill. I f this out on a Friday afternoon when it was too late to contact the doctor. Medicare D would not authorize an emergency supply. They would only fax the doctor Monday The office needs to have an emergency or backup physician phone number. I have no way to obtain what I requir for my diabetis until the next week.

Would not refer anyone to this doctor. I have been dealing with a thyroid problem for years and was referred to this lady a couple of years ago. I ended up in the Emergency Room twice due to not balancing out my meds properly, does not return any calls and after my trip to the ER where they specifically told me to get my strength of meds normal. She gave me a message through a staff member to continue on the strength that was causing me to feel dizzy, have anxiety attacks and very weak and shaky. Very rushed when going into the office and does not seemed concerned about her patients at all. Terrible experience. Will not be back to that office again. She takes long trips out of the country and never available around the holidays for weeks.

I felt an instant bond with her. She was calm and professional but gave me the sense that she really cared about me. I will be seeing her again. One more point. I had a blood draw on day of my appointment. I got the results the very next morning. Less than 24 hours after the draw. That's impressive.
