Dr. Mae Kinaly, MD

Both personally and professionally, Dr. Kinaly has been extremely unpleasant. Both my wife and I were her patients for several years, and we have both been the recipients of her unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior. Each time we visited her for something as simple as a cough, she would almost force upon us therapies that were not necessary but expensive and often not covered by insurance. Personally, too, one time we asked her to write a statement supporting certain medical conditions we actually had, and she charged us $250 for that statement -- this, after she has been rude and insulting toward both of us.

Super expensive and each bill exceeded the prior verbal estimate. No follow up by office or doctor. Waited over 3 weeks for lab results that were reported within a week. Office was very difficult to reach, and not at all helpful. No treatment plan provided following a very broad and mostly unhelpful diagnosis of a variety of ailments, but none explaining how to improve condition. Once had urgent concern when my son's arm swelled up at site of an IV Dr Kinaly administered. Took 3 hours to get a call back.

Dr Kinaly goes far beyond most physicians tp help her patients heal. I have seen how she will take her off time to research problems deeper to make sure we have the best care. we are given option in our healing. She offers integrative medicines not just scientific which I like. She Cares for us, she makes sure we have the best care available. She goes far beyond in research to help me heal. She is an Angel

I once waited 2 hrs for Dr Kinaly (never did I wait less than one hour)and then was admitted to an examination roomthat smelled of body odor. She yawnedfrequently during my exam and spent a lotof time just chatting. I've gotten a new doctor!

Hire reliable front office staff who know what they are doing and actually stay with the office for some length of time. Read your notes prior to seeing the patient; get your billing people to submit accounts payable to the insurance companies in a reasonable amount of time; have a real person answer your telephone instead of always having to leave a message; be able to actually talk with a patient by phone when necessary. While Dr. Kinaly is bright, eccentric, quarky, spends time with her patients, and is a good diagnostian, the disorganization is incredible.

Dear Kinaly is wonderful. Yes, you have to wait to see her. That is because she cares about really finding out every detail to try to figure out how to help you. If you are looking for a doctor who gives you a five minute visit and a prescription, then she is not for you. However, if you are looking for an old-fashioned doctor who takes the time to really figure out what is going on and help you, then this is the doctor for you. I have never met a doctor who was more thorough. But I have paid other doctors a lot who could not figure out what was wrong with me. When I finally went to Dr. Kinaly, she figured it out. This happened twice. So, if you want a thorough doctor, see her. It is worth any wait. Good luck finding another internist who is not in a hurry to see the next patient!

You have to wait a long time past your appointment to see her. Then you realize why. She spends a lot of time with you but a lot of it is chit-chatting while others are waiting and she wont stop. Like other doctors, she doesn't check whether insurance covers her tests or not. On several occasions, she charged me twice for a visit. On other occasions, she ordered tests that insurance didn't accept because she couldn't justify it. She also charged me for several ultrasounds whereas only one was done. It took months and many phone calls before they admitted their error. She smiles and she is kind but she wont write a sick letter when I couldn't fly. Her office won't return calls. We stopped going to her and switched our doctor.

After years of being sick and dr.s not knowing what was wrong. I was amazed when I found Dr. Kinaly, it truly shows in her work and personality how much she enjoys her job. It was great to have an indepth intellectual diagnostic conversation. She is well-spoken and shows tremendous interest in continuously educating herself. It would be nice to see more doctors like her.

Dr. Kinaly is brilliant and a great diagnostician. She is also very caring and keeps you informed along the way. She's always provided me with excellent referrals for specialty care, such as my cardiologist. Because she spends time with each patient, the wait time on arrival can be quite long. Just bring a book and use the time to relax. Another plus: there's a plebotomist on staff, so you don't need to go to another lab for bloodwork.

Unfortunately, I've had a very bad experience with Dr. Kinaly and her staff. First, she charged me twice for a procedure she only performed once. When I confronted her staff, they were extremely rude and unprofessional. Dr. Kinaly's staff hung up several times when I called regarding a billing question. Worst of all, it seems as though Dr. Kinaly approves of this behavior as when it was brought to her attention, she didn't seem to care. I would definitely advise against Dr. Kinaly.
