Maggie Bonilla, DO

Dr. Maggie Bonilla is a board-certified pediatrician who completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She went to medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW in Lebanon, OR. Prior to that, she was living in Hawaii and got her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in psychology at Hawaii Pacific University.
Dr. Bonilla provides pediatric care from birth through young adulthood. She loves doing both wellness and sick visits and enjoys all of the joys and challenges that come along with pediatric care. She loves building lasting relationships with patients and their families. She is particularly passionate about educating and supporting new parents, breastfeeding medicine, preventative care, obesity medicine, and ensuring that families are informed about evidence-based practices. She believes supporting mental health in childhood is a pillar to creating a healthy adult. She is compassionate, collaborative and family-centered …and strives to provide high-quality care that meets each child's unique needs.
She previously practiced in Ontario, OR and Lander, WY. She loves the unique challenges and joys that come with rural medicine. She is excited to call Southwest Colorado home and looks forward to raising her family here. She loves to spend her free time outside with her husband, toddler and dogs hiking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, taking pictures and just enjoying the beauty nature has to offer.
