Even though Dr. Selassie stopped accepting CIGNA, I still travel across state lines to meet with him. He is an excellent mental health provider.

My wife and child have been seeing him for over a year and I can sum up my observations (I sit in with my child and feedback from my wife) as the following: Pro: Very strong patient care and involvement. Listens attentively to patients (and parents for children). Absolutely no complaints at all when it comes to how he treats his patients, discussions of issues and outcomes desired, etc. Cons: Time Management. This sort of goes hand-in-hand with the Pro listed above. His sessions seem to be "to standard" not "to time" in that he's not rushing you out the door to get to the next patient . This is great if you are the one in the session, but not so much if you are the one waiting to see him. Aside from the time management, the rare comment I see regarding him seem to be misplaced (his admin staff screwed up so he must be a bad doc) or significantly different from my observations and those of the majority giving reviews.

They are only 2 Dr, that have listen to me and done what is right by me in terms of my treatment: Dr Selassie and Dr Kholer. Whatever ills were done to me , they maintained there point of view on what i needed as treatment regardless of repeated demand to change my medication. I have an excellent life and i am not seek.

He is not sensitive to patients needs. He is very old school in terms of medication.

He is excellent, and takes our insurance. His appointments do run late. Bring food and something to do. He is worth the wait.

Dr. Selassie is nothing short of excellent. He is caring, skilled, wise, and deeply compassionate. He has responded to emergency situations immediately, and with excellence. I can't recommend him highly enough. I never mind waiting in his office, because when I needed more help, he gave it; I know he will give the same to others and am glad. He has figured out things other doctors did not, because he listens carefully, and he really knows his stuff!
