Dr. Mandana Ahmadian, MD

I live with my condition for over 30 years, and I do know what works for me and what is not. This doctor who saw me for 10 minutes disrespect all my life experience and my current symptoms stating that she knows more and she would not take into consideration my input. That kind of treatment from a provider is very downgrading, and I will be looking for another doctor.

What a professional wow. Multiple times her office told me they don’t have the referral whereas my doctor had already sent it. When I was able to finally schedule , I got Covid and had to cancel. Later on I felt I needed to take some time and had to cancel again which was done way in advance. Now the doctor’s office tells me they won’t see me because I cancelled twice - I mean that’s just ridiculous. What a disgrace such type of doctors are , I’m beyond outraged. Shame on you

Dr Amanian is an exceptional Dr. She is always ontime for every appointment I've had in the 2 years I've been seeing her. She isn't a "see you in a year" type Dr. She has her patients come every 3 months to insure that ones health is being monitored properly. I really like how she asks questions about what is happening in my personal life to determine what may be affect my blood sugar numbers. I feel I'm successful in making decisions about health because of her care and compassion.

My impression is that Dr. Ahmadian is definitely not a bad doctor - she is better than most of endos I've been working with. But she still is rather a mediocrity, because she won't strain herself for a patient even a little bit. She can be smart, thorough and hard thinking - but usually she doesn't want to. She won't walk an extra mile for you; even extra 100 yards - she will do whatever is necessary, and not a bit more. In my case, she would never think - "what else could have caused this person's symptoms", not even speaking of prescribing an extra test to exclude some other conditions. My other doctor (a neurologist!) had to insist on it. It seems she doesn't want even a slightest chance of a problem with insurance. She refused doing an expensive test that would definitely rule out certain diagnoses for me because of that. I regret to say this, but most naturopaths seem to be more thorough than this doctor.

I have been seeing dr Amadian for thyroid issues and diabetes for almost three years. She is one of the best endocrinologist I have had who actually is very precise, firm, open and highly competent and knowledgeable dr. He is very humble, receptive and optimistic at the same time. I’ve been her patient for nearly 15 years. She took over when my original endocrinologist at PolyClinic moved to California. We successfully kept my Graves at bay with medication until I finally needed surgery when that caused other health issues. I miss her medical assistant Melissa... she was a gem. A few of the ones that have come and gone were so-so. Front desk staff as well. But, it’s a difficult task these days with all the regulations and new billing codes. I only had one billing mistake and it was eventually resolved. Overall, I love Dr. Ahmadian’s directness and ability to give me a complete and thorough (at least for me) answer to my questions. I never feel rushed. Waits are always minimal. I try to be on time or early to make their day better!

As an insulin-dependent diabetic for almost 50 years, I have had the privilege of her knowledge, patience, skill, insights, support, advice, and encouragement to always improve my control and my health. She has taken the time to get to know me not as a patient but as a person so that she can treat my diabetic condition with helpful suggestions, sometimes pointed remarks, and constructive criticisms to insure the best possible results and outcomes for our visits. In my opinion, she is a very gifted and unique doctor. Having begun my transition to a closed system insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring regiment just two weeks ago, I am proud to say that I think that with Dr. Ahmadian's help, knowledge, and encouragement, my best days for diabetic healthcare lie ahead for me (and for my family as well). Dr. Ahmadian was the worst doctor i've EVER seen and made me feel completely terrible about myself. Yelling at me because my levels we're so low- to the point that my mom who was waiting in the waiting room could hear. Absurd. I will never be back.

I asked for the iced pack they used on me after my biopsy, I was told it will be recycled for the next patient in presence of the doctor . They could have asked for few dollars to even to sell it to me . I showed up at my kids school and some kind Secretary saw my neck swelled up she went and got one iced pack from the school fridge for me. Doing little things make a huge difference for the patients you treat.
