Dr. Manuel Tellez III, DO

Dr. Tellez is a disgrace to the medical profession. Both my wife and I were patients of a great doctor for many years before he retired. We made an appointment for six months down the road for an annual check up for both of us. The staff was absolutely great. My wife and I visited doctor Tellez the same day. .He ordered blood tests for both of us and stated that he will call us with the results as soon as he got them back. A few weeks went by and when we did not hear back from him, we called the office. Since he practices only three days a week, we were told that they will check with him. Two days later we got a call from someone in the office to confirm that they had the results and that he was going to call us. Another week went by without a call, so we called again. Once again we were promised a phone call with the results - that was now over five months ago - and no phone call. We both contacted the lab (Quest) directly (Quest) and got the result from them. We found another doctor… and after reviewing the blood test results he immediately prescribed some medications for both my wife and I. There are many good doctors in this world; sadly Dr. Tellez is not one of them. Beware!

Tellez promised me he would fill 2 scripts for me while I changed pain doctors. He referred me to one that turned out bogus. I had to find one myself. When I did find one, I attempted to contact his office, to let them know my medication would be 11 days short. The "nurse" who seems to run things there, refused to pass along my message to the doctor, despite several calls. She screamed at me on the phone. I ended up in the Emergency Room, they called him and asked him why he wasn't keeping his word? He gave in and wrote me for 13 days of medication. All of this could have been avoided if Tellez had kept his word. Now he sent me a registered letter stating that "Due to my disruptive behavior and medical noncompliance" he finds it necessary to dismiss me from his practice. I was a perfect gentleman when dealing with his office, I have no idea what my medical noncompliance might be, except expecting Tellez to keep his word. I would AVOID this "Doctor" like the Plague.

Dr. Tellez is very compassionate. He is always there when we need him. I appeared at his office door one morning without an appointment and they took me in saving me a visit to the emergency room. He is our family doctor. We have been seeing him for 12 years and have no idea what we would do without him. I could not complete this review , however, without mentioning his nurse Dee. They make a wonder team.

Dr. Tellez and his nurse Dee are very caring. They work long hours behind the office hours. He treats the entire family. Our family has been his patients from the begining of his practice.

He is my Mom's Doc. I take her to many of her appts. Great staff. Doc shows concern and is very amiable. Staff has rescheduled and fit her in when needed. They have called back soon when we left message.

Dr.Tellez has been caring for my dad @ Methodist Charlton and Specialty Select. He is very compassionate and considerate. He always takes time to answer any questions that I have regarding my dad's care. Every time he comes into his room to visit he takes his time and always asks if we have any questions or concerns. It has been a true blessing to have a Doctor like him caring for my dad. I feel very comfortable placing my dad's care in his hands.
