Dr. Marc B Hazan, MD

Dr. Hazan is a wonderful man and physician.

I have now been seeing Dr. Hazan for about three and one half years, and I can honestly say that he has made a huge and positive impact on my health. When I first saw him, I was very overweight, my cholesterol was through the roof, and I had just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The first sign that I had found a special doctor came the day after my first visit - it was a Saturday and I received a call from him personally, giving me my test results and wanting to see me again to put my on a new regimen. To make a very long story short, it was his caring and personal attention, after years of seeing a doctor who just didn't seem to care, that I turned myself around and proceeded to lose 100 pounds in the next 14 months. Through that time, and ever since, he has remained a steady guiding force. He still calls after every visit. I have visited with a number of one-off issues (orthopedic issues, two infections, et al) and he is always very attentive and helpful. In short, I could not be… happier.

I switched primary physicians about 3 months ago, after 13 years with a doctor who was extremely competent and very personable, but had becoming busier and busier to the extent that he never returned phone calls and I was unhappy with the level of attention I was receiving. Well, I could not be happier that I found Dr. Hazan. I actually had some significant health issues, all of which could be controlled and treated, and he has been wonderful. Starting from the fact that I received a personal phone call from him with my test results the day after my first appointment - and it was a Saturday, he has among the best interpersonal skills of any doctor I've seen (and being the son of a very old-fashioned doctor who made housecalls, my standards are quite high). His office staff also happen to be very friendly - getting appointments is easy, as is reaching him by phone. I recomment him strongly.
