I first met with 2 other surgeons and knew I found the right doctor when I eventually met Dr. Ulmas. His office feels more like a family operation with his wife, Rachel and his daughter, Jordan all working together. The office isn't fancy because he's not one of those surgeons that need to impress with a flashy lobby. He's down to earth and his brilliance and credentials is all I needed to finally feel comfortable getting my hip replacement. I trusted him completely and now I am the happiest I've been in a long time. His incision was 3 inches with no bruising. It's been a month and I'm walking, exercising and feeling brand new. My friends couldn't believe my quick recovery. If I ever need my other hip done, I will run to his office!

I had my hip replaced 3 months ago. It was the best decision I've ever made. I can walk my dogs again, dance with my husband and play with my grand babies. I loved working with the office staff, and the nurses on the floor were all amazing. Dr Umlas did a minimally invasive hip replacement using the latest techniques and technology. I walked the same day and had no pain. He takes care of many people I know and they are all thrilled to have him as their surgeon.

I think Dr. Umlas is a rare and unusually smart, talented doctor. I’ll admit the waiting room is not a 5 star hotel - just an adequate typical medical office space. What I care about and what we all should care about is how good is the doctor at practicing medicine. What else could possibly matter? From shoulder pain (my wife) to a broken collar bone (my daughter years ago) to bursitis (shoulder, myself, very painful) to trigger fingers (myself really painful too), Dr. Umlas has always treated the injury with really good results. You have to decide do you want the smartest most capable physician to exercise extremely good diagnostic skills and solve the medical issues or do you want some kind of super stylish decor waiting room with an Starbucks but run by a quack with great white teeth but no skills. I’ll choose the merit and talent every time! We all should. There aren’t enough doctors like this out there.
