Dr. Marcia Santos Genta, MD

I would give 0 stars if I could. I made an appointment because I am in excruciating pain and was completely dismissed because of my weight. When i asked how I’m supposed to exercise because I can barely move, Dr. Genta told me to continue taking medicines that I have already been taking for 3 weeks. She told me that she’s not ordering an MRI and that I could find another doctor to do it and then hung up on me. Completely rude and unprofessional.

I have been a patient of Dr Genta a lil over 9 years. She has been the best Rhuem doc for me. She knows her stuff, calls it like it is, and handles the problem. I really love her staff members. They respect you, and always make you feel so welcomed!

she didn't listen to my complaints. I told her with my RA I still hurt really bad when it rains. She told me that wasn't my RA. She fail to say what was the meds wasn't helping.

I would not recommend this Doctor to anybody,her bed side manner is rude if you don't agree with her suggestions then she's basically done with the conversation.Gave me no suggestions to the pain I was in other than aleve or ibuprofen,and at that time my flare was full going.Took her and staff 2 days to call in a prescription she wanted me to start.

Not willing to discuss condition or look At alternative treatment. Was rude when questions were asked.

I had a horrible experience with this doctor... I thought she was really nice personally and had a great bedside manner, but my own doctor had diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis, and I had already had positive rheumatoid factor tests... she repeated the test and her office called me back and siad it was negative with no explanation or further advice, so for the next year I endured horrible pain with no help, called again and went back in and she said, "oh no it was not negative I dont know why he told you that, but I have one more test I want to run." Then he calls me back about a week later and says that test is negative! No explanation or anything! I have repeatedly asked for copies of the tests but no reply whatsoever. No copies of the tests to my referring doctor either..

After previous visits to "arthritis specialist" who blew me off as having just plain arthritis, Dr. Genta spent quite some time talking to me and did all the tests at my very 1st visit, including xrays and mri's! I was diagnosed with RA and she made sure I understood everything before sending me on my way.I would highly reccomend her to anyone with arthritis issues!After 3 years of horrible pain I am finally on my way to managing my RA with a proper diagnosis! Her staff is awesome also!

As soon as I got in her (very nice) office, her staff greeted me and in less than 5 minutes I was already in her office. It is a little hard to understand her sometimes but we talked and she diagnosed me quickly. I followed up for five more appointments and I am truly satisfied.
